An update to visitors on how to access the hotel by road would have been greatly appreciated as all the road works and closures around the hotel meant navigating to it complicated with some guests reversing to the hotel the wrong way down the one way street to the entrance.

Staff were expecting me, very quicky checked in and advised of a welcome drink being available. Room was up to the normal Ibis standard, clean, comfortable bed, etc. Breakfast was very good with attentive staff. Checkout was quick with staff asking if my stay was good. Altogether a nice hotel that I would book again.

On arrival, noticed the room had a bit of a smell to it, but we were cold and wet, and needed to change quickly to go out. On returning it was late, but the smell was still there. It was like someone had used something to hide a bad smell which just made it worse. It was late, and we were very tired, and did not want the hassle of moving rooms so late. We tried ourselves to mask the smell, and tried to sleep. Overall the room was ok, basic but for an overnight stay it was fine

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Its got everything you need for a short city break. The rooms are small but very efficiently designed with every thing you need. It's also got a small cafe/bar area with a pool table.
