Positive - Perfect base for our activites around Katherine. Bed was extremely comfortable, the best we had in all of our NT travels. Friendly reception who checked us in. Negative - the tap in the vanity did keep running which contradicted the sign about the water being a precious source. But no issue for us Regardless, as previous owners and managers of a resort in Fiji for 15 years, we understand the challengers faced with hotels, especially in rural areas. Well done team!!!!! Good Rooms, No Room Servicing & Restaurant Closed

The hotel is located in a good location and the rooms are spacious, clean & with a good size pool. No information was provided on check in other than being handed a printed handout. There is no food & beverage available onsite & you need to drive into town to eat (Sign of Front Desk advising of closure). We came back from a long day out to find our room was not serviced. Was advised by the manager that room servicing was only upon request (was not notified on check-in). The following morning before going out we requested that our room to be serviced (as previously advised) only to come back in the afternoon to find that had not been serviced. Called the hotel from our room using my mobile (as no phone in room) to ask why the room was not serviced. Was advised by the front office that it needed to be requested & that this was due to COVID (???) & that they had had a busy night the night before & needed to clean the rooms needed for the day. I advised the front office lady that I had spoken to the manger the day prior & had put in a request that morning & was then offered a bottle of wine for our troubles. In the end housekeeping arrived & as we were tired requested our bins be emptied & replacement towels. This property is would be classed as a non-serviced motel rather than a hotel & we would consider looking elsewhere for accommodation when stay in Katherine next.

I booked two rooms for two nights from 5th to 7th October for one of the friend's birthday. On the first night after we checked-in when I called the reception for extra towel and shampoo as we went to swim, the staff asked me to get it at the reception as they have no one could send it to our room, therefore I went to reception to collect, however, when I walked in to reception, the receptionist was talking to a housekeeping staff and other guy, and when I asking for shampoo, they questioned me, how many people stay in the room, I said two, then they said why you need extra shampoo for? I replied we went to swim and girls having long hair, that was why I asking extra. Then second day we went on tour, went we come back to hotel, our rooms have not been touched at all, bin still full with rubbish, bedding didn't get tidy up, didn't replace the new shampoo and the floor still had all the water marks from the first night. The worst part was on the second night before we sleep, I double check the Accor All app of the check-out time showing at 11:00am. However, at 9:00am, the housekeeping knocked and opened the door, then realized there were still people in the room. When I asked they if the check-out time is 11am, they said no, it's 10am, and looked at me like why I was still in the room. I called the reception to inform the situation then receptionist extended for us till 11am, and she called again to extend to 12am. I totally understand, due to COVID-19 there would be limit services, but I do not appreciate when you ask me why I asking extra shampoo and didn't even place the new one on the next day. Also I do understand if you don't change our bedding, but I expect at least to tidy up the bedding, mop the floor and clean up the bin? Even the check out time could be 10am, I do not understand how the housekeeping can get into the room before reception inform them after the customer check-out. In addition, the bedding and the towels need to get replace, all the bedding including bed cover, pillow cases are all got marks on it, the blanket was just a sheet, not a proper blanket. And the extra towel I got from reception should be a white color but it was not white, and the staff who gave me the towel wasn't think its an issue. The limitation of services does not mean no services, that is why I was not happy with my stay in Ibis Katherine, the score of 5 it was only for the last receptionist who at least tried to comfort us after she realize the hotel actual check-out time is different from Accor All app.

Well located but we stayed there for 5 nights and never got the rooms cleaned even after we had asked for it twice. Photos of the rooms online show them a bit different and more new. Could use some renovation.

Lovely stay, but poor booking system

Booked the trip in July Directly through the Accor site, then added to the trip with NT tourism vouchers. The stay booked through the Tourism voucher scheme was easy, however when trying to combine the stays, so that I could stay in the same room throughout my stay caused a number of dramas. The manager Tony was great, however he complained about the lack of interface between the booking system and the property management system. Despite multiple calls to the Ibis, we weren’t assured of our continued room until the morning of the overlapping stay. Further to this, we booked a Prepaid room, assuming the room was paid for at the time of booking. It turned out that Accor hadn’t taken the funds, and we were to pay on check out. The confirmation email stated we had nothing to pay at the hotel, however a review of our bank statements revealed we had not paid. This was an unpleasant and unexpected sting at the end of a lovely week away.

Well located, needed rubbish removed around pool area

Room was clean. We had booked for 3 and only 2 towels were there (asked at reception and obtained more) pool area was very untidy. I thought it was because we arrived on Sunday but rubbish was still around on Monday AND Tuesday morning.(4coke cans, kids shoes, broken pool toys etc)

Housekeepers had not emptied a full bin from the previous guests., A very serious breach of the Covid 19 restrictions. Only 1 tiny soap and 1 shampoo for 2 people. The friendly Indian receptionist went to our room to pick up the bin, The bathroom needs an upgrade. Dark brown towels with bleach markings.
