nice stay, good pool

Staff were friendly and helpful and even loaned us bbq tools so we didn't have to go buy them. Fridges in rooms were bigger than normal which was great as we had a bit of food and drink with us. Rooms weren't serviced unless requested. No issue as we were only staying 2 nights.

Everything is needing a clean up and fix up! Hot water never did make it to the shower and spray was so fine you had to run around in it to get wet. Room very smelly

I made a reservation on the telephone and was quoted $149. I asked for a confirmation email which they said would be sent but I never received it. When I checked in they asked for payment of $209. In the end we settled on $178. I then asked if I needed to book for dinner and they tried to explain a $38 package as the only option. I went elsewhere for dinner and spent $20. In the morning i went to make a coffee and realised there was no milk so I left.

Fantastic staff - terrible facility

I have been staying at Ibis Katherine on average a few days a month. When I arrived this time, I had to wait for 20 minutes to be checked in. As a silver Accor member I generally got upgraded, but not this time as they said everything was booked - that’s ok. The bad things: The room I got (81) smelled as if someone just used the toilet, the bathroom was grotty, there was no water pressure, and the electric plugs stopped working (no tv, kettle, lights etc). The tv remote did not work (after the power was restored), and to top it all, I had cockroaches running on me in the middle of the night. The good things; Tony, the manager sorted out the fuses for the electrical issue. The girls at reception were very polite and understanding. This place cannot be faulted on its employees. It is the state of the facilities that are so below standards that staying there was an unpleasant experience. $170 + a night (“it’s dry season..”), for rooms that Accor should be ashamed to offer to its members, is exorbitant and I hope something is urgently done by the owners to remediate it. Wifi Speed Disappointing

Everything else was ok, however the Wifi speed was very poor. I usually travel into Katherine from the remote Roper gulf region for work and I have stayed in few accommodations in Katherine but this was my first time at Ibis styles. In my view the wifi speed is the worse when compared to other accommodations providers I have stayed in Katherine.

The only Hotel in town

Stayed for 2 nights. Ate at the hotel one night and at the Thai Restaurant the second night. Not enough staff in the Hotel Dining Room. Drinks took forever and the bar only has one staff member to pour and deliver drinks. The grounds need maintenance and a tidy up. Overall the hotel could do with a freshen up- it was not the "Mecure experience" we expected.

A bit chaotic

We were not told when booking that the restaurant was closed. Some patrons got breakfast on some days but others were refused. Not good. Also the promised WIFI was virtually useless in the room. I was allowed to use the conference room for an important Zoom meeting and am grateful for that. On the plus side the beds were comfortable and the pool was good.

We only stayed one night but were very impressed. All staff from G.M. on down were so helpful and willing to answer any questions ,even late in evening when we had some teething problems with the Internet. Swimming pool and Tennis courts and Laundry all close to room. Reasonable price too. Kudos .

Going down hill!

We have stayed at this hotel 3yrs straight over the long weekend. This time we are very disappointing with the hotel. Our room wasn't lockable from the inside other then putting the chain on which if pulled hard enough it would come out of the wall. Then I had to go to reception asking for assistance as there was about 4 teenager swimming in the pool who were swearing like drunk saloirs. They were throwing the pool chairs into the pool and jumping off the top of the shade cloth. It was that bad we couldn't use the pool or allow our 11yr daughter go swimming. Trhis was reported to the reception 2x for did nothing!! When we went to check in there was only one person on the desk which saw us wait a long time and saw another leave the reception area due to the long wait.
