I returned to Berlin after 18 months due to all Covid restrictions and chose my beloved Ibis Ostbahnhof. Very nice staff and good breakfast. The room upstairs and overlooking the Spree was charming. Now also an ideal connection to Berlin Brandenburg Airport with the S9.
Good Stay and Excellent Service

Dont trust Ibis Berlin Ostbahnhof. Check the room is what you booked before paying. We arrived in Berlin after a long journey by road from UK, only to be called a liar by the receptionist/arrogant prick. I booked a large family room as we were staying 6 nights. only to be told I hadn't booked a family room, I had booked a standard double room. I knew for a fact I had, so I showed him my booking on a computer and he then said I have upgraded you for free to a larger room. I said you can't because Ive already paid for the largest room you have. I told him I wanted the room I have booked and he said I can't because they're all occupied. I then had to pay before being given the key to the room. Which we felt we had no option - we were exhausted- we are both 60+. We looked at the room, which wasn't too bad, but still wasn't what I had paid for. - Smaller, no settee. He also said we couldn't check in early under any circumstance. But then realising we are Silver Accor members he changed his mind. Also, we paid £10 per day for parking, the parking barriers didn't work properly, and we had trouble finding a parking space on a few occasions. On reading this review, you may think Im being petty, but its the fact he called me a liar and his whole attitude was not very professional, unlike other Ibis hotels we have stayed in over the last 20 years plus. We will not be going back there, we will go to Hotel Schultz up the road from this one - we went in there for a meal and drink and the staff were very friendly and professional. We have stayed in lots of Ibis Hotels around the World and always have found the hotel and the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional at what they do.
Good price and perfect location

I booked the Ibis due to its location (right next to the Berlin Ostbahnhof). Really good quality for its price (booked over the App and paid under 70€). Breakfast for 12€ is worth, very good variety, including fresh fruits. Alexanderplatz is 10 min away by train and the East Gallery Is 200m away.
