Lift likes to always stop on the ground floor

The lift always stops on the ground floor where the bar and reception area are regardless of which floor you have pressed the button for. The room was adequate with everything that a basic hotel room should have. On the second night of my three night stay when I returned to the room the keycard slot no longer triggered the lights in the room. This eventually, after much too-ing and fro-ing from the night staff (it was after midnight) led to me changing room, having had to pack in the dark - as compensation I was offered a drink, and the following night I was given a kit kat and a snickers. The second room was actually better as it faced the trampoline station, rather than the station and was quieter. The hotel is a short walk from the railway station, and not far from the city centre.

I had early check in and they made me wait till 9.30 on top of that check out was 12 noon but they knocked my door at 11 told me i had to go

We never had issues at other ibis hotels but this time round our experience was not the one we usually expect: 1) Found a shoe from previous guests under one of the beds, indicating that the room was not properly cleaned prior to our arrival 2) We had to ask at the reception for the mugs to be cleaned, rather than these being cleaned by house-keeping 3) A/C in the room was not working (was provided w/ a fan) during a time that was quite hot; A/C in the common areas was perfectly functional, verging on being too cold

Had a fantastic stay with you and the staff were extremely attentive and welcoming and the rooms were great very clean and I certainly would stay there again but the only thing that let my stay down but not a deal breaker was the car parking. The area you have there is small and if you are fortunate to get a space it is tight parking woth a couple of spaces amd makes you worry scratching your car. But again the hotel amd staff were wonderful amd wouldn't put me off coming again whih I certainly will .
