Because I am Victorian I had problems with check-in. Due to the fact that I am an essential traveller and must be covid ckecked weekly, I presented my latest result, driver;s licence and essential employee permit and the reception staff along with the duty manager resolved the issue. This process took approximately 30 minutes.

We had a 3 night stay . We were originally staying in June but as the rest of our overseas trip had been cancelled we changed the dates to coincide with our Sons 50th Birthday in August . We arrived in the late afternoon and checked in . This was very speedy and efficient by the very friendly staff member on duty . We were given a room on the 6th floor with a nice view to the Airport . Ibis rooms are pretty much all the same format . They have everything you need for a comfortable stay but are compact . Especially in the Bathroom . Everything was in good condition . Tea / Coffee facilities are provided as well as Shampoo / conditioner , nice soft Towels . Even an Iron & Ironing Board & Hair Dryer . A queen size Bed ( very comfortable ) A lounge which seats 2 comfortably as well as a Table . Also Bedside tables . The first night we had a problem due to noise coming from the Roof , possibly an Aircon Unit . We reported this in the Morning and were straight away given another Room on the 5th Floor , this time with a King Bed . No more Noise ! We did have Breakfast each Morning . The Menu is not very comprehensive , possibly because of the Covid restrictions . The Hotel Staff did enforce the Social distancing rules rigidly , which is Great . The Food we had at all time was well prepared and delicious . Check out was again done in a Timely Manner be the Great Staff . The only issue we had was that we were not informed that we had to Request that our Room be serviced for which the Staff did give an apology . The Hotel is just over one Klm from the Domestic Terminal and a 5 minute walk to Mascot Train Station .
