Not ideally situated for walking around Amsterdam, as it's a good 15 minutes walk to get anywhere interesting. No family rooms available. My daughter had to sleep in one bed with her two young daughters, rather than leave them in a room on their own, leaving her husband to sleep in a room on his own. No coffee or tea available in the rooms, which was very disappointing. There's nothing like a nice hot drink as soon as you wake up! Breakfast was far too expensive, especially for young children. Nine euros for a 7-year-old, who only wants a drink and a bowl of cereal. We eventually found a breakfast café where we paid less than half of what the hotel were charging, but even that was a 10-minute walk.

Good hotel in a quiet location. Staff were extremely helpful. We arrived in the morning and, as our rooms were ready, we were given keys to our room before 10am. Breakfast was well worth the cost. Plenty of food choices with hot and cold drinks. Food was replenished quickly. Staff were available and helpful if there were any issues.

Well located and mostly friendly staff

Generally the experience was good: the hotel is well located, the breakfast is decent and the staff mostly friendly. I say mostly because two days in a row our room wasn't cleaned even though we put the corresponding tag early (before 9am on the second day). From what I've read online from several other clients at this hotel, this is a recurring issue: the management would rather act and solve this problem.
