Found the bed very uncomfortable and after complaining, staff put a Doona on the bed. They said they didn’t have a mattress topper which is strange for an upmarket hotel

It was so fun taking a plunge in the bath while listening to Marvin Gaye on VINYL!!!! Only thing missing was bubble bath! I always book Pullman because I can rely on having a really comfortable bed and good pillows. But this upgrade was just an over-the-moon delightful surprise. And the club breakfast was a bonus bit of extra happiness!

As a Diamond member for Accor, the minimum expected was not met despite the fact we booked months in advance. You should be able to plan your room allocations easily. We checked in online prior to arrival stating that we preferred early check-in due to early arrival. However, the room was not ready even after waiting 4 hours. Had to go to the check in counter to ask again. No room upgrade, though this is subject to availability but that’s fine. Over all experience fell very short, considering other Pullman properties worldwide.

Location is fantastic. Everything else was pretty underwhelming. Glad I had a gift card to cover over half the room fee. Room was standard size for a normal room not a suite. Bathroom had tiling issues in the shower from a quick build which meant drainage issues for small amounts of water. Club access breakfast was horribly underwhelming. Next to no juice, pancakes were microwaved and yet still served cold. Best thing going for this hotel was the location and polite staff.

I booked my 4-nights stay to attend a Marathon, but due to event changes, I have to leave 2 days earlier. But Pullman reservation team nor frontdesk helped me to change at all. It was really disappointing experience!

Location of the hotel was great but service really struggled. Check-in had a massive queue and only one team member serving. Room service dinner on Thursday night took over 1.5 hours to arrive and was then cold on arrival. Had a couple issues with pre-booked car pick-up being late from valet and room had a constant, high pitched noise coming from the air conditioning/door region that nobody could fix. I actually loved the hotel and the team were friendly. It just felt like it was incredibly short-staffed at the time and things just weren't working.

I stayed at this hotel two weeks ago and had such a positive experience that I chose to book again, as I travel to Melbourne regularly. Unfortunately, my second stay was a significant disappointment and bore little resemblance to my previous visit.
From the moment I arrived, the service felt indifferent. There was no warm welcome, no friendly greeting, and one staff member even walked away without offering any assistance with my luggage. As a Platinum member, I was also disappointed that the usual welcome recognition and gift were not provided, with what appeared to be a poor excuse offered instead.
I raised my concerns with the manager during my stay, however nothing was done to address the situation or improve the experience. It was frustrating to feel that my feedback was acknowledged but not acted upon.
When it came time to check out, I chose to use the express check-out machine because it felt more welcoming than engaging with the staff on the floor. That alone says a lot about the overall experience.
What I find most disappointing is how quickly this hotel has gone from delivering an excellent guest experience to failing on the most basic service expectations. Hospitality is often about the simple things: a smile, a welcome, recognition of loyal guests, and a genuine willingness to help. On this occasion, those fundamentals were completely missing.
As a result, I will not be returning to this hotel, nor will I be recommending it to colleagues, friends, or fellow travellers.
