It was a lovely stay, the breakfast was very good and the sanitary measures were really impressive. A very comfortable room and bed. I can only say that I always enjoy Accor hotels because they guarantee a high standard, and this was no exception. Situated at the center of the city, without a private parking but nevertheless a parking right under it, the Cite Mondial offers everything you need for holidays or business, it also accepts pets, which in my case was an absolute plus.

Honestly, the rooms are old and poorly maintained. I just find it way overpriced - poor value at this location in my viewm.

As always when staying with Accor our experience of the staff, extremely helpful and friendly, and our accommodation was very satisfactory. However, upon arrival our bathroom was not as clean as we would have liked there being hairs in the sink. We brought this to the attention of reception and they immediately transferred us, even upgrading our room. We appreciated the way the problem was dealt with and appreciated the upgrade but still feel that in the current circumstances more attention should have been paid to the cleaning, especially as Accor rightly place a lot of importance on this aspect on the website.

Reception team should be trained better - on check in receptionist was 100% certain room was paid for ad it was grom « booking.com » even when i told her no it wasnt.. housekeeping need to work with reception on departures to not disturb a guest - at 11am housekeeper knocked on door not even noting who it was with mask pled away from face - simple question would have sufficed if she’d called reception to see if room wad vacant or not - especially as a do not disturb sign on door!!!. For the times we are in do not understand why no housekeeping service but ok. Location great and rooms comfortable but focus on training your staff Why is it also i can book on booking.com for cheaper rates than your own site? Defies the purpose as you pay commission to the OTA - sth definitely you need to look at as i am sure you could be maximising your ADR/ Room rates better

On the whole, things were very good. Second stay at this hotel. Excellent location for exploring Bordeaux. Covid precautions dealt with very well in most instances (compromises on the whole due to guests not wearing mask, standing right by lift doors etc., however the ant bac foot pump system at reception was empty for three days). A couple of issues, loud banging day one, very loud constant drilling day two, no storage space for clothes, broken aircon meant we were allocated a new room mid stay - which we didn't accept as it was very small and we still had a number of nights left, although when explained to reception, we were upgraded to a larger room which was appreciated. Staff very helpful in general - staff in the bar and restaurant areas should be commended as they were excellent, whether for breakfast or drinks in the afternoon/evening. All very friendly and welcoming.

We chose to spend our wedding anniversary staying at the hotel and we were very well treated from initial contact and booking through to our stay. Due to the travel restrictions in place at the time the hotel were very flexible and they went the extra distance to make it a great stay. Thanks

The rating says four stars, it is more like three stars. Good thing is the location which ideal when visiting Bordeaux. It seems that there are nearly no staff members who are interested to make your stay comfortable. There is many things to improve regarding cleanliness, service, maintenance, breakfast, but most of all the attitude of staff needs to be changed. Team spirit of the staff is totally missing and it effects the service and it makes it embarrassing to follow their work.

never booking mercure groups will be prefer and get the better rooms. i have a silver status and get a terrible room we cannot open the window and we have only a small bed booking and pay a great one.

Dear Guest Most of our room have closed window because of security process. Every standards beds have the same size, perhaps it will be better to book a privilege room for your next stay. I you only have one night you should stay In a very central location. The Mercure is in the middle of Bordeaux. Please inform in advance we’re to park and how to get there. Otherwise it is hard to find the parking through to busy streets of Bordeaux. Online checkin is available. A very nice stay. Although we did not have breakfast, it is automatically on you bill. So beware and check it. I had to return and have it removed. Drinks at the bar are extraordinarily expensive. One glass white wine 0,1 liter was 9 euro!!! We found the best little place around the corner, symbiosis restaurant, just a walk of 2 minutes.

I liked this hotel a lot. It was clean, modern, comfortable and for us, about to take a river cruise, a superb location. It is a short stroll to the river. I also want to say a word about the staff; they were great. I had a little problem with the booking and they could not have been nicer. So I give them A+. In case you do not speak French, they do speak English. The price is very reasonable and I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
