Stayed here for 3 nights in a privelage room, room only. The experience was awful and one of the worst hotel stays in over 30 years travelling around the world. From our experience we would class this hotel as 3 star rating (just) This hotel needs to seriously review the management and maintenance of this place. Repeated complaints from customers both on Accor and Tripadvisor websites regarding the terrible air conditioning with the same lame replies from the hotel management. As an Accor Gold Member we expected far far more. Positives: Location Toiletries in room Entrance welcoming and modern Quality iron and ironing board Free soft drinks mini bar (although it was not fully replenished one day) Communication with staff in advance of our stay. Early check in (as a Gold member benefit) Negatives: Air conditioning in the rooms is appalling, broken and either badly designed or badly maintained. The first room the member of staff tried to reset it so we unpacked. It did not work to start with on entering the room with an obvious red fault light displayed. Obviously no quality control checks by housekeeping. The system tripped after 5 minutes. After calling reception they said the only room to move to was a standard room as the hotel was busy. When we said okay however we would expect a part refund, a privelage room suddenly became available. We packed up and moved all our belongings down to another floor. On entering the room we switched on the air conditioning and it appeared to fire up. We unpacked. However after a 10 minutes it was obvious that no cold air was cooling the room.The window was locked so guests could not even open that. We contacted reception to be told there was nothing they could do and they could move us again. Ridiculous and we declined. The next 3 nights were horrendous. We asked for a fan but they refused saying there was none. We asked for a top sheet, they forgot, we then eventually got one however the room maid took it away the next morning. Could not believe it! The power sockets blew on the 3rd night however someone appeared promptly and reset the switch. We asked if he could look at the air conditioning however he said he could not. It was that bad and hot, we had to wedge the room door open with a stool for periods to let the room cool down. When we looked at customer reviews on Trip Advisor we noticed this has been a common issue for ages. During our stay, not once did the management follow up despite us mentioning it to them over 5 times and moving rooms. Very disappointed. No welcome drink was offered (Gold member benefit) No room upgrade was offered. (Gold Member benefit) When we asked they advised the hotel was busy and no suites were available during any of the 3 nights of our stay. During the 4 days and 3 nights we saw 3 other guests and that was in the reception area. Never saw or heard any other guest. This was with our room door being left open! On Checkout, they had charged us 108 euros for 6 breakfasts! We were room only!! Please be aware and we would recommend guests consider another hotel. They are so disconnected. Not what we expected and would never return to this hotel

I was at your hotel for four nights in April, 2020 and had an enjoyable stay. I was out cycling each day so did not use the hotel in the daytime. But my room was good and the location was very central.

Whilst I commend your staff for their courteous attention and politeness. Sadly the hotel was a big disappointment on this stay. The room felt very basic and very, very hot as the air conditioning wasn't work which meant I had an awful nights sleep, or to be precise no sleep. It would have helped if the window had opened but it was locked shut. I'm very doubtful I would return!

The location was great, and staff was great to deal with. They were extremely helpful. There is a slight challenge when trying to get to the hotel in a car. It is not easily accessed from the street. Rooms are small, but workable. People are great. Get the breakfast as part of your package. It is great. We did not use the restaurant, but the menu looked like we would have enjoyed it.

Hotel was nice and conveniently located in Bordeaux. Felt like more of a corporate hotel but rooms were a nice size. I reserved a privilege room which had a nespresso machine which was nice in the morning. We chose this hotel based on the rooftop terrace but I think it’s usually just for breakfast. There was a make shift bar which was sufficient and you could get a charcuterie plate but really nothing else. The restaurant was closed on the weekend which made me think it must be more popular with business travelers. Then on Monday the rooftop was closed which was very disappointing. All in all it was a fine hotel but I’m pretty picky so I might choose something else next time around.

The rating says four stars, it is more like three stars. Good thing is the location which ideal when visiting Bordeaux. It seems that there are nearly no staff members who are interested to make your stay comfortable. There is many things to improve regarding cleanliness, service, maintenance, breakfast, but most of all the attitude of staff needs to be changed. Team spirit of the staff is totally missing and it effects the service and it makes it embarrassing to follow their work.

never booking mercure groups will be prefer and get the better rooms. i have a silver status and get a terrible room we cannot open the window and we have only a small bed booking and pay a great one.

I you only have one night you should stay In a very central location. The Mercure is in the middle of Bordeaux. Please inform in advance we’re to park and how to get there. Otherwise it is hard to find the parking through to busy streets of Bordeaux. Online checkin is available. A very nice stay. Although we did not have breakfast, it is automatically on you bill. So beware and check it. I had to return and have it removed. Drinks at the bar are extraordinarily expensive. One glass white wine 0,1 liter was 9 euro!!! We found the best little place around the corner, symbiosis restaurant, just a walk of 2 minutes.

I liked this hotel a lot. It was clean, modern, comfortable and for us, about to take a river cruise, a superb location. It is a short stroll to the river. I also want to say a word about the staff; they were great. I had a little problem with the booking and they could not have been nicer. So I give them A+. In case you do not speak French, they do speak English. The price is very reasonable and I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.
