The hotel is well situated, close to a metro entrance and the Eiffel Tower, as well as champs elysees. The room size-I booked a junior suite- was underwhelming. This is not my first trip to Europe, of which I have many, but the junior suite was the same size as a standard room. Breakfast-not included even at junior suite pricing of 700 euros a night-was average at best. Now for the worst. I understand it was a record heat wave, however at this price point the air conditioning should work. The air conditioning was horrific, I do not believe the room got below 80F. This is totally unacceptable at this price point. What was offered you may ask? A free ice cream cone each day. Hahaha. The bathroom was small, no walk in shower-this is a junior suite remember. I would come out of a cold shower to cool off and had to lay on the floor because it was too warm to lay on the bed. For my daughters first trip to Paris I expected more from a Sofitel hotel. The staff were exceptional.
