Wonderful hotel!

This is an older hotel, but they have done a wonderful job maintaining the property. We booked through American Express travel and were upgraded by the kind staff to a Canal House Suite, which was enormous and came with butler service. My husband loved the Toto toilet with all its fun features. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant every morning, which was absolutely excellent. Raspberry smoothie was to die for. The staff were all wonderful.

Lovely Hotel

We had a wonderful three night stay. Service in the hotel is amazing. The concierge was very helpful with booking tours and restaurants. The hotel has a beautiful entry courtyard and also another beautiful courtyard where we ate a couple of times. The food in the hotel is really good and service is amazing. Love the maitre d in the mornings. He has the best personality. Breakfast was delicious with everything you could possibly want. Our room had a beautiful canal view and was very quiet. We loved the bathroom, it was a long narrow space but really well thought out. The only negative is that the area to the right of the hotel is really filthy.

We stayed 4nts, as a belated big birthday celebration for my wife. The customer service was fabulous..everyone! From front door, reception, concierge, bar, restaurant, gym, cleaning staff… everyone really made an effort and engaged. Amsterdam was very busy but the hotel felt like a tranquil oasis.
