We booked last minute over the phone on route to the hotel. We had a sporting event early Saturday morning. There was only one person on at checkin and a decent wait, but the service once you got to the front of the line was worth waiting for. The young man was friendly and accomodating. The staff at check out were also great, allowing an extension of an hour so that we could get changed and finish our stay in a relaxed manner. The room was clean and easy to use. There wasn't any body wash in the shower, I called down but couldn't wait the 20 minutes it took to arrive, That's really the only thing I could fault. We will definitely come back.

Overall the staff are what make this hotel worthwhile, and I am very grateful to them for our stay. I would recommend the hotel on the efforts of the staff alone. I'd booked 3 rooms for my family over 2 nights, allowing us to go to a concert and have a weekend away. There were some small challenges that became apparent early. My room had no hand soap, and even though I called reception and left a note for housekeeping, they never did fill the dispenser up over the 2 nights. My mothers room had an issue with the television on the first night that couldn't be resolved, and on the second day the television in my sisters room stopped working. We also had one lift out, which caused a bit of havoc during check-out as we couldn't easily get down to reception. The staff, however were excellent. When we spoke to the repairmen on the second evening we were crushed that we couldn't do our movie night in matching pyjamas we had planned. It was my neices first big girls weekend and we had bought matching pyjamas that day especially for the movie night. The evening duty manager whipped into action, calling me on my mobile and offering a room upgrade for my sister and her daughter. We got to have a movie night together in the upgraded room, which was wonderful. The next morning on check-out the lift issue became prominent, and we waited for more than 20 minutes while packed lift after packed lift came past. We asked a wonderful housekeeper if they might have a staff lift we could use (the lady waiting with us was getting distressed she would miss something important) and she agreed to escort us down through the utility lift. We were so grateful for the lovely housekeeper being willing to assist. Generally the staff were fabulous on little things as well, like giving directions to an alternative carport when the building carport was full, in the first instance putting us on the same level and generally being helpful. So overall - fabulous location, wonderful staff but some clear challenges with the condition of the infrastructure.
