I called to book a room at the airport and was booked at the hotel 14 km away and not the one right next to airport as I asked. It took us an extra hour to get to this remote place and another 40€ extra with the cab we had to take in the morning to the airport. The man who checked us in answered the phone two times whilst checking us in, completing 2 full bookings whilst I’m standing there with a little kid at 21:30. Even if this is a budget hotel that’s far from customer service. Positive thing (and hence the 3 stars and not 1) the beds are surprisingly good/comfortable and it was quiet throughout the night though he mentioned the hotel being fully booked.

I had booked one night accommodation on booking.com for a room with twin beds. Even though the reservation was successful there were no such rooms available. Of course, I cannot say if the fault lies with booking.com or with ibis budget, but the ibis customer support which I called was not able to resolve the problem. The assured that I had a valid reservation and that the check-in should work. Only once your staff showed up at 5pm (I tied to check-in 3pm) was the problem resolved by assigning a room with a queen bed to me. My clear expectation is that your phone support should have been able to recognize and resolve the issue. It would have saved me two hours of waiting time. Apart from that my stay in the ibis budget hotel was fine as always.

The location is nice, own free parking place saves the trouble looking. Lot of people talking and smoking in front of the door, they look like truck drivers, or builders. The room and the bed are nice, however the light in the toilet was not working very annoying, the floor in front of the shower is very slippery after using the shower, we had only to small towels and there were no glasses or plastic cups. And most important there was no lift so we had to carry the bags up the stairs to the room in the third floor.

Two problems: 1. Housekeeping accidently took my personal pillowcase. Next time I will bring a different color other than white perhaps. :) 2. Booking online using a non-German VISA credit card no longer works due to Visa Secure unable to use two-factor authentication not working. Please fix this in your app and website.
