Checked in in fairness I was unaware of how basic it was I.e. no toilet in the room etc

Practical is the only adjective to describe my stay at Hotel F1 Martigues. Made my booking online, received email confirmation, only to be unable to get my access code at 2am because apparently there no booking under my name. Non smoking room but smelt of cold tobacco, cigarette holes in the sheets, no towels in the room.

Easy to check in although there was no paper left in the machine, so we couldn’t print our ticket, and there were drunk and disorderly travellers sitting outside which was intimidating. Room was OK apart from the blood stains on the bed cover and cigarette burns on the flooring. Toilets were filthy and there was no soap dispenser beside the sink. There was soap in the toilet but no water or sink to wash your hands. General cleanliness could be improved. Luckily our room was at the end of a corridor because some of the other visitors were making quite a bit of noise and the fire door looked too complicated to close.
