Some guest do not respect the wish of other guests to have an undisturbed night. They speak and laugh loud while walking to their rooms. I was also shocked that guests with their dogs use the parking lot as a dog toilet. There was even dog poop on the path to the parking lot. Difficult to see the piles in the dark.

First room stank of sewage the 2nd room had a very noisy bathroom extractor fan

I went into the first room and there was an unpleasant smell in the bedroom. I could not put my finger on it but as soon as I went in the bathroom I could, it just stank of raw sewage which made me wretch. I went to reception to change the room and did not even get an apology from the receptionist. My second room was on the third floor and even with the bathroom door closed the hum of the extractor fan reverberated through the wall into the bedroom. I could not be bothered to go back down and complain again. I did fall asleep but woke at 3.30am and the noise made it difficult to get back to sleep. Why hotels fit noisy extractor and air conditioning equipment in or near guests rooms nerver ceases to amaze me. I enjoyed the Tripel Karmeliet in the nice bar but the barman was hardly the friendliest.
