While Sofitel is a large operation, staff create an environment of warmth and welcome. The hospitality industry in nyc can be impersonal and hurried. But Sofitel has a human face that that is sincere and concerned that your visit is important.

Stayed for a couple of nights at the beginning of January, and it was a pleasure. This hotel is a real beauty. It’s one of the older ones but the rooms are still really nicely appointed and well equipped. The building is extremely conveniently located on a quiet street a stroll away from Times Square and Rockefeller Center, with a plethora of transport options alap available close by. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and available. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Well located, good rooms. nice resto & bar

Pros: location, room size, bar & resto quality; good value for money, very packed/booked on holiday season. Cons: no any rooftop bar/resto, no exec lounge or club millesime, no spa or swimming pool. Strange: no coffee-machine, kettle and tea in room; (kettle was provided on request)
