Well located, poor service

The hotel had a great location. Concierge and Reception staff were very helpful, warm and welcoming. The rooms weren't as clean as expected, i found dust on the bathroom sink, the windowsills, and other areas of the room. the drains in the shower had grime and mould in them. The sheets had a black stain on it that looked like ti couldn't be washed out, in my opinion it shouldn't be used then. The mattresses didn't have mattress protectors so that worried me about what had previously spilled on the mattress that may not be cleaned well. The service to the room was not good. They took over half an hour to get me towels, and i had to call3 times to receive cutlery I requested 40 min later. The staff that came to my room were dry and did not provide a nice service or apologies. There are lots of sounds coming, I kept getting woken up by others entering their rooms as their doors closed. The sounds of airconditioning or some sort of motor kept waking me up too.

Great pool, Air conditioning in room did not work.

Every time we visit Sydney we always stay for the clean rooms, outstanding pool and friendly staff. Unfortunately, this time our room did not have functioning air conditioning leaving us hot and uncomfortable. May need to reconsider staying with Mercure in the future.

Stayed for work event at the hotel. Checking in was ok and was able to get a king room upgrade on my preferred floor on level 14. I swim daily and enjoyed the sauna. Area for improvement is staff working in the restaurant. Lot of tables left uncleared after guests had finished Breakfast. Food is fine and staff are friendly and polite to me and other guests.

The room was great but the air conditioning was way to cold we had to have it turned off then the room seemed to stuffy
