First I must say that the ALL the staff were absolutely superb. I have nothing but high marks for them, particularly Ms. Kinga and her colleagues. That said, the hotel, as far as we (my wife and i) are concerned, deserves one star. The rooms are cramped, the bathrooms (we stayed in 2 different rooms) are more suited to being A. hostel, not A. hotel

Pleasant stay. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Roomy reception with seating area, separate breakfast area,(which we didn't use as had other plans) and secure storage area for luggage. Useful bar for hot/cold drinks and hot meals/snacks. Friendly, professional and polite staff. Access to toilets was a bit inconvenient as it was through a secure door and downstairs in the basement. Didn't like the Halloween decorations as it limited space on the check in desk and was a bit off putting, and made it look messy. CORRIDORS There were workmen carrying out maintenance during the day which made access a little difficult, but we were made aware of this when we arrived. ROOM We were offered a £5 voucher for each night if we didn't have towels changed daily or have the room cleaned, which we took advantage of. However it would have helped to have been able to empty bins into a bag and leave outside the door. Also a toilet brush would be a good idea if the rooms are not being cleaned daily. The beds were comfortable but the mattress toppers kept sliding off the mattresses. The plug in the basin didn't work. Our kettle didn't work but the staff replaced it with a new one immediately. Spoons would have been more welcome than wooden stirrers when making hot drinks. There was limited hanging space and no shelving or drawers, and nowhere to put an open suitcase. Hooks by the door would have been very useful for wet coats. The seating bench by the window was very uncomfortable and a bit unnecessary, it would have been better to have had 2 chairs and a shelving unit, and 2 case stands to put cases on. A small fridge would have been very useful, but I appreciate this may not be possible for a budget hotel. TV and hairdryer supplied, iron and ironing board available. Plug for recharging phones, etc very useful.
