A great location with stunning views. Hotel is a bit dated but room very clean and comfortable. Shame the spa pool wasn’t working fully but still nice to soak in. Maybe the pool needed some sort of heating as it was far to cold. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu a bit limited but food was great Overall an enjoyable stay.

We love the dining experience - food staff and ambience were excellent Very disappointed that our room hadn’t been serviced when we returned around 4pm - when I called reception I was told we should have put a sign on the door requesting room to be cleaned - this is not consistent with advice in the room instructions nor were we told this at checkin and gave never experienced this as normal practice elsewhere. On another occasion the bed had apparently been made but in fact sheets had not been straightened or trucked so bed was effectively’unmade’ other than cover on top. Bathroom fitout not up to standard for hotel in this price range- we have just been on Milford Track trip and fittings are very similar to lodges on the track - fine for the lodges but would expect better at Mercure ‘Resort’ Loved the gym with views out over the lake and front desk staff were great!

Thankyou for your wonderful hospitality. All staff members were wonderful. The chef is to be commended for his wonderful cooking, the restaurant staff were so thoughtful and friendly. The bar staff are exceptional. Was disappointed with room 201 due to lift noise and high noise levels from guests as they exited the lift directly opposite the room.. Appreciated the room change. The wonderful location with fantastic views from our room made our stay very special. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We were disappointed breakfast was not included with the price and were disappointed by the noisy and crowded breakfast room. Admittedly we were there during school holidays, but perhaps there could be a hotel policy regarding the behaviour of children, especially those running around. After one breakfast at the hotel we decided to have breakfast elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable with wonderful views but the carpet was quite stained and the walls very thin. We could hear people conversing (not shouting) from the rooms on either side of us late into the evening and early in the morning. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the view made up for everything. Parking was a problem on the final evening of our stay but at other times spaces were available.

when i checked in I mentioned that i had two separate bookings for the two nights. the guy who checked me in said i will be staying in the same room for the two nights though separate room types. and all was okay. the next morning we went out for a planned jet boat ride. came back to change before our next planned activity to the room. we were locked out. went down to get key activated. they activated and then came running back and said we had to switch rooms in 30mins etc. I mentioned that the guy who checked me in said it was all taken care of but the person said that was not the case. so we had to pack our stuff and we missed the planned activity which we had paid for which cost us $250. my wife and kids were extremely disappointed that we missed the planned activity and we were all very disappointed in the way we were treated. I would not be recommending accor hotels to anyone i come across and specially mecure Queenstown. being a accorplus member I expected better customer service. what a let down. i was going to book accor accommodation in Christchurch but opted out and we stayed at crowne plaza which was the most pleasant. due to the customer service and facilities.

The staff and the breakfast were wonderful. The lake view from the hotel is just out of this world. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to stay there. The hotel has 5 star service. Being able to do my laundry was a big bonus.

We enjoyed our experience at the Mercure as indicated above. A shuttle bus to the main town area would be a worthwhile addition. Insufficient parking for hotel guests is a significant issue and really needs to be rectified in some way. The rooms were very comfortable and the Lakeview was excellent. All round very comfortable. Fabulous beds. The fridge was a little small fro guests staying more than a day or 2. Staff were helpful and friendly. The bar and restaurants area were also a lovely area well utilised by guests.

Beautiful views of the lake and mountains from the hotel. Maddison from front office team was really helpful with recommendations and even making our drinks / hot chocolate at the bar when it was unmanned in the afternoon. She is definitely a great asset for Mercure Queenstown.

When checked in we received room 231 which was very disappointing. Old furniture, very narrow bath and inconvenient , and the linen wasn't clean. That room didn't have a coffee machine, the screen was small and overall we were very unhappy with it. When we went to the reception and complained about the room, we were told there's nothing they can do that night but they will fix it the following night. As promised, the following morning we were moved to room 224 which we felt it belongs to a totally different hotel... The design of the room was much nicer with younger look n feel, king size bed, nice shower, much nicer bathroom in general, bigger screen etc. We were very happy with the second room. As we are about to come back to Mercure Queenstown for a third night on Jan 14, we asked to receive room 224 or a room with the same conditions again in order to complete our current visit at the hotel in the most positive and satisfying way.

Very satisfying. We arrived early on that day so we requested check-in earlier. We were in our room at 1.15pm instead of 2pm. Staff were all smiles and very quick for room services. Rooms were fine for the price. No problem with parking. Breakfast buffet was good. Room for improvement can be a better wifi network and more channels on the TV. Overall it was a good stay for my family. We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary with our 2 children.

Definitely would come back for the excellent service especially from AJ and Josh who went the extra mile for us. They are definite assets to Mercure! However restaurant food could be improved, we were served a side dish that was definitely burnt and tasted like it was reheated. A complete disappointment. Room service food was so much better. One would expect the other way around.
