Everything was great however the water from the tap was yellow obviously due to rust. Maybe that room wasn’t used for a long time due to covid? Anyway just running the water for 20 minutes fixed that issue.

The service was great and the rooms clean, comfortable and with a awesome view. Food was not up to Accor Standard and it was a pity that the pool was out of action.

I was very impressed with the level of Professionalism and service from all staff at all times. I did "push-back" on a coffee and dinner main that werent hot enough. Other than that, the food, service and amenities were superb.

Room had a beautiful view and nice rooms. But the spa was disgusting!!!! Had to book for me and my daughter to use it but was so gross and dirty. We got out after 10mins and had to have a shower.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely staff at reception. The entrance/restaurant to the hotel is well presented. However, the room was not cleaned properly and was rundown. When communicating the issues back to the staff they were very helpful and made it a priority to move us to a new room. The new room was clean. However, the room was rundown and had signs of previous leaks (staining on carpet and wall) and the corridor/entrance to the room smelt damp.

Always enjoy returning to this property. Great views from lakeview rooms. Clean and comfortable rooms , .Close but not to close to town so very quiet. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Good free parking.

We have stayed often. I know things have been hard for tue hospitality industry but this time it seemed like things had got real tight . There were two half used rolls of toilet paper . Hardly anything in the tea and coffee box . Also the orange juice that came with breakfast was in a very small glass . Then my wife and I had the English Breakfast with a stack of toast each which came with no butter and when we asked for the butter the girl brought out two tiny packets that was no where near enough . Only small things I know but was very noticeable and somewhat cheapened the hotel . Also they had booked us in the wrong room being a standard instead of the superior upgrade with a King Bed we were booked on for . Otherwise staff were great and friendly and fixed that problem up . We enjoy the place though so will definitely be back .

Very average. Big doubt about a car park room service supplies tea coffee milk was minimal..actually had ask for coffee… no enough milk.. for the whole 5 days stay there one cupboard left un cleaned.. Not really big enough for 4people

As usual the Mercure exceeded in every way. Everywhere was so clean, and the staff always obliging and friendly.. The food was excellent, I didn’t even know they made Cinnamon Ice Cream - delicious with apple pie. The Mercure is like our second home in the South Island.

Great stay, good value, great views, very good staff. Everyone very friendly. Family friendly, Food was great. Plenty of parking if you are driving. Great value for money at the restaurant for those with kids from kids menu. Would certainly return.
