Mercure Paris Gobelins Place d'Italie Hotel 4 stars

One of the worst hotel stays of my life for which I paid nearly 300.00 Euro. Unbelievable. Awful, awful, awful.

Enjoy to stay several days in this hotel. Profesional team, alway there to share their knowledge.

A relatively modern room was a decent size for a European hotel. No A/C but that wasn't a problem for when we were there. Windows do open. Breakfast could use a little more variety day-to-day but had a varied selection of food that was kept fresh. Really liked the little sausages. Easy access to the Metro with a 15-minute ride into the center city. The neighborhood has a number of easily walked to restaurants and a nice cafe with pastries and sandwiches just around the corner. Friendly reception staff whose English language was fine.

Overall it was a decent stay at Mercure. The hotel could be more accommodating to tourists who are visiting. The room was tiny but we expected that in Europe. However there were no wash cloths provided in the room. The television channels were only in French. And there was no iron provided either.

Nice room, great location. Very comfortable. The hotel staff were pleasant and very accommodating. The only complaint stems from a mildew odor that permeated the room, only slightly dissipating with the window and balcony door remaining open.

The staff was very helpful. I would point out the staff as the best experience last week. Everything else was in order, the location is good, the neighborhood good as well, the courtyard too. Inside the hotel - nothing standing out.

Very stylish and pleasant room - we were on 7th floor which gave us a panoramic view of the Paris sky-line including the Eiffel tower! It's those details that often make a difference. The staff were mostly very helpful - and though I speak a little French - the staff we encountered all had excellent English. With so many eating places nearby - the lack of a restaurant is not a real problem - but at this price level we felt it was just a little surprising.

Used hotel only for sleeping and breakfast in the morning

Just a short trip to Paris to see relatives from New Zealand who were in a hotel near by but too expensive for us. The hotel was clean and near to all the amenities we required. The breakfast was also very good. Thanks also to the staff who helped get to where we wanted to go .

Reasonably priced hotel with breakfast facilities. Excellent location with easy access to the Metro, nearby shopping mall and a morning market. The nearby boulangerie provides options for local delights.

I stay in this hotel frequently as it is a convenient location for my business trips in Paris. The hotel is nice and friendly.

Well connected location, clean room & bath, good wifi speed. Breakfast OK. The elevator needs upgrade.

Overall a good experience although I was disappointed in our room allocation which was just above the entrance door and immediately next to the lifts and was consequently noisy. Given we had booked for five nights I would have thought we might have been allocated a better room. The lighting in the room, even with all the lights on was very dull and I found it difficult to read and see comfortably. Very good location and the staff were excellent. The hotel/room are bit tired, skirting hanging off the wall and one of the wall lights flickered off and on.
