Booking in was easy and I was handed the keys to an upstairs room as we'd asked for a quiet room. When I got upstairs in the new section of the Hotel I found a beautiful room. We didn't realise the Hotel had upstairs rooms and my wife has a condition which varies making it very difficult on occasion to negotiate stairs. My wife, while I was taking the bags up went to reception to ask for a downstairs room. The receptionist was very obliging and gave us keys to a downstairs room in the old part of the hotel. What a contrast, the room was dark, small and cramped, no phone or bedside table lights or desk, very sparse indeed. What a shame the old part of the hotel has not been renovated to match the new section. We were disappointed to say the least, but it was just for one night. The restaurant was great, service good and we had a nice evening meal in there though a tad expensive. We had an early start next morning and as our booking included a continental breakfast I asked how we ordered it. We were supplied a form to complete showing our preferences and were told we needed to go over to the restaurant and pick it up in the morning. Two trays were a bit of a challenge? I managed to condense both trays down to a manageable one - no problem. We did request the 5am breakfast, but at least it could have been delivered to our room. Improved service in this regard and a thorough renovation of the old hotel buildings would have made for a much more pleasant overnight stay.

We spent 2 nights in Port Hedland recently and stayed at The Ibis in an ocean view room, this hotel is in an excellent location, right on the beach with plenty of facilities within walking distance. There is a walking path in front of the hotel that follows the beach and provides some great viewing locations along the walk. The hotel facilities were good and either the bar or the restaurant provide a perfect setting for watching those typically amazing WA sunsets

The experience with staff was great but the accommodation provided was poor quality small room provided. The refrigerator was noisy and what particular discussed me in that the toilet seat in the room was stained and appeared to have unsavoury marks on it

Good stay, could do with updating decor. The sports bar hasnt changed over the years, I feel with the amount of money generated in the town with mining there would be money to upkeep, nice beer garden over looking the water would be nice etc. prime location, family friendly, there was 30th Sat with kids but not great area etc.

Tidy rooms. Kept nice and cool.

The room was really hot when I arrived, and it took over an hour to cool down enough to stop sweating in it. The staff were friendly, and the food was nice. It didn't appear that the barista coffee machine was being used for breakfast, only some push button machine, so I went to Dome instead. The rooms need an overhaul they're pretty basic, you have the best view in town. I'm sorry for this negative review

Lights did not work in the room When going into the restaurant you didnt know what to do ... before someone would greet you and take you to a table now you look around and wonder. The food well a salad for $28 and it was a few lettuce leaves about 3 slices of chicken and a very small plate not worth the money

Was greeted by a friendly reception who shared local knowledge, Checkin was great experience. Once I saw my room it stared a whole new experience. No window, not enough room to open suitcase. Noisey aircon, even louder exhaust fan in putrid bathroom. Tv sitting on the only workspace in room. No access to wifi (told it was a peak time so can be hard to get on). Only two pillows available. Ordered room service, after an hour went to check on it and told it must have been given to another table. Had to wait another 30mins, salad slimly and chicken burnt.
