Another Revisit, Still the Best Hotel in Khon Kaen

In July, we have our Management Group meeting in Khon Kaen. I made recommendation for our group to stay at Pullman as this is one of my favorite hotel in Khon Kaen City. So our group of 10+ senior management choose Pullman as our choice of accommodation. Location wise, this is one of the best place to stay in Khon Kaen City. Our team really enjoy our stay at this hotel. The only downside for our visit is that on that day, the business meeting at the hotel is fully book. So, we decided to held our meeting at our company branch office in Khon Kaen instead. Apart from that this hotel gave us excellent service and experience. The room is large and spacious. This time, I've got a welcome drink and snack for being the Accor Gold Member. So, the experience is still good. We have breakfast at the hotel and the selection is very good. On our departure day, we decided to have lunch at the Chinese restaurant. The Dim Sum Buffet offered one of the best variety in Khon Kaen. The meal is nice and freshly cook. Our team really enjoy our visit at the hotel.

The room was big/ nice, TV didn’t work, fridge didn’t work had to get both changed, was unable to get Netflix or Prime and no Aus sport channels. Hallway to the room had a musty smell and the carpet looked like it was lifting up in areas. The breakfast was possible the worst I’ve had in Asia over 40 years. Bacon under cooked, eggs under cooked open warmers. They could learn a lot from Centara Udon Thani.

I must say, their fitness and wellness facilities exceeded my expectations! As someone who frequents saunas almost daily, I was thrilled to find a well-maintained sauna that perfectly complemented my routine. The sauna was clean, spacious, and provided the ideal environment to unwind and rejuvenate after a long day. I also want to highlight Chompoo, a staff member who provided exceptional service. A poor show from Accor, the hotel is being refurbished in areas and its seriously overdue. We booked a suite for a wedding, the room is 90’s style but big, it smells musty however and the A/C is poor. A ‘free child’ stay on booking was met with we have to pay extra for a child’s bed in the room,/ resolved eventually. The pool bar is a disgrace, food and drinks take hours to arrive and it’s cold when it does. The food orders were incorrect multiple times and the staff are just poorly trained . Sadly - AVOID would be the recommendation until they get their act together.

This comprehensive refurbishment has been carefully planned to address many of the very issues you have highlighted — from outdated room designs to service flow and facility standards.
