I booked a queen double in Broome. The staff were kind enough to upgrade my room, so I ended up with a superior with a wonderful view. Many thanks to Broome. After 15 years of hotel stays, this is the first time I have ever had an upgrade.

First room no internet or phone working. Second room air con not working.

The only negative thing I can say is the rooms are tired. Besides that everything else was great.

Average-gets worse each visit

Each time I book a room they get the booking wrong. This time on arrival (after 6pm) they said the rooms hadn’t been cleaned being a Sunday. The gates surrounding the buildings are now left open causing locals to wander in and I was woken in the early hours of the morning to a local bashing at my door. The place is dirtier each stay and is in need of a good clean.

Basic accommodation option but clean and excellent customer service. Shame that the original Continental Hotel has been so removed from the current presentation. The Irish bar at the back is pretty basic and not at all in Broome mode. Would be great to restore the main building to its former Broome glory. Would attract more occasional visitors.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was average. Expected a queen with single but got a double with no WiFi or additional pillows.

A very nice receptionist and a very clean , well appointed room A very comfortable room , spacious bathroom great location being a short walk to the Markets and Chinatown , and the staff I encountered were courteous and helpful. The room price was very reasonable when compared to most of the alternate choices. I’m in Broome every six months and sometimes more and hopefully will now make the Mercure a regular stop .

Overall, the service is good, friendly staffs, but need to pay attention to more trained housekeeping staffs. There was a day where our room is half cleaned with cleaning agent and dirty wipe cloth on the table and toilet paper was running out. Need to have pest control because ants are found in the room.

Room smelt of old wood. Fridge not working. Couldn’t connect to wifi, exhaust fan too noisy and dirty, could feel the springs in the mattress, only two pillows supplied, cheap toilet paper, old linen (towels and bedding). Staff were friendly and room service was very prompt

The Mercure staff went above and beyond , especially Courtney. Courtney drove me to my interview at air-services fire station , due to not being able to get a taxi for over 40+ min , after all taxi company's were contact and kept promising the taxi was around the corner

We stayed for our Anniversary & the lady that checked us in was lovely. We were given an upgrade & gift. Very relaxing stay! Meal at Murphys was very good. Location is close to town if you don't have transportation.
