Room was not clean i had to change my room twice. The Food was very bad. Ive had breakfast and lunch both were not even eatable. There was a used tooth brush in my shower when i changed rooms. Worst experience Ever!

The hotel itself is old Very low occupancy due to corona But the staff is very helpful and welcoming guests in good manner

As a Silver Accor Member I'd expect a certain level of stay in any of the Accor hotels even if it was Ibis, and since I've been to Ibis before in several countries, I can clearly say that all of them were far better than Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx, I would say that Mercure Cairo Le Sphinx was the worst hotel I've stayed in a very very long time. During my booking I asked for 1 Room with Two single beds and another for myself and my wife with One Double Bed, instead I received Two room with Two Single Beds. I've booked two rooms for myself and my parents in law, and both rooms were very far from even called being clean - Both rooms were all dusty, bed sheets were not clean, the room carpet was far from being even close to clean that we couldn't pray on the floor, the balcony was full of dust, and the balcony door wouldn't close unless we had to lock it. We had to ask several times for the Air Condition to be adjusted as it wasn't working, and we've asked along for a room change for myself and my wife to be a double bed room, and when we were taken to look at the room of course the Air Condition wasn't working so we had to stay in the same room that we were given in the first place, although we've asked for this room change while we were checking in, and we were told once we're back that everything will be sorted. During our booking we had already prepaid our breakfast, which for some reason the Front Desk Agent couldn't manage to take it in that we had already prepaid during our check in; And we were asked before we sleep if we'd like our breakfast delivered to our room or if we'll have it at the restaurant, we chose to be served at the restaurant; When we went to have our breakfast we were denied entry as it didn't show to the waiter that we've already had that prepaid, and I had to go myself to the Front Desk to confirm that it was already paid, and that they need to inform the waiter of so. I bet you wouldn't dare book in such hotel yourself after such experience
