Tired Hotel in Need of Refurbishment

For a four-star hotel, Novotel Waterloo was quite disappointing. The room was reasonably clean and adequately sized to accommodate four people, but it is clearly in need of refurbishment. The wallpaper is starting to peel, particularly in the corridors, and the washbasin tap was stained with the sink water draining poorly. The door in the bathroom was also chipped. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety and was generally satisfactory, although the scrambled eggs were served cold. The location is also less than ideal, as it is approximately 15–20 minutes from the main train station, though it is accessible by bus. We usually choose Novotel for its consistent standards of service and cleanliness; however, our experience at the Waterloo property fell short of expectations and was rather disappointing.

Great location to get to major London areas without it being too busy an area. Only downside was sauna wasn't on.

Located on edge of CBD with a short walk in. Rooms clean and tidy with all you need. Restaurant downstairs good for something to eat and breakfast has plenty to offer. Downstairs bar good for a beer or cocktail and all the team friendly & helpful.
