I have had several short stays at this hotel. The staff have always been very friendly. The hotel is in a good, quiet, city location & close to bus transport. There is only a short walk to the Swan River & Elizabeth Quay. Clean, modern rooms. Feniens Irish Pub is great for a few drinks and the pub food is good. Limited car parking onsite is available but not guaranteed.

We didn’t have enough towels for the amount of Guests booked for (4 guests and not 2 towels) when tried calling no answer so had to go down to reception to get more Tried calling for ice and again no answer had to go down to reception Kettle didn’t work so couldn’t use it Buffet breakfast was amazing. For the price Hotel room was clean

I booked a room with payment at the hotel. On check-in I was told there was a $A100 bond and my card was swiped for the room charge ($A330 for 2 nights) plus this amount - $A430. This charge crystallised as a final charge the next day and I have discovered I now have to wait for a refund of $A100 for up to 5 days. This way of going about things is unusual and objectionable. I am an Accor Plus Gold member and have stayed regularly and often in Sofitel, Novotel, Movenpick and Pullman hotels and in all cases where you have a guaranteed booking confirmed with a card through the Accor website, the hotel just takes a notional $A1 charge on check in. That never crystallises as a final charge. The hotel itself is dated but passable and the front desk staff are helpful. Only stay here if you get a good price through an Accor promotion. Otherwise stay somewhere more modern and where they don't engage in this objectionable charging practice.
