Positive: - Location, close to Metro line Negative: - Buffet breakfast: Terrible coffee (added sugar automatically in the cappuccino), runny eggs, too loud, quantity over quality, no real juice - Early Check-Inn: Room was not ready, bed wasn’t made and not enough towels. Had to tell the staff twice before it was fixed. - Family room has a connecting door to the next room meaning you can hear everything from your neighbor, no sound proofing. - Rain Shower head leaky - Late check check out was not in the system (but it was booked and visible in the app) - Staff was generally indifferent, no apologies for anything - Housekeeping was subpar, empty used glasses were not removed, - Bed sofa was super creaky - Some staff randomly opened the door on Saturday morning and just left without saying anything

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Caste Hill in Budapest. The room was lovely, very clean and always warm which was very appreciated with the cold temperatures outside. The staff at the reception, bar and cleaning were very friendly and helpful. Also the hotel is located close to many different public transport options making it easy to explore Budapest.

The stay was good except for the house keeping service. The rooms and the bathroom were not cleaned daily, only the towels were replaced and the bedsheets tucked in, the toilet looked visibly dirty when we came back to our rooms. Since we were very tired from the whole day excursions and were with 3 year old kids, we did not inform the front desk as that would mean sending someone at that time during the night to clean things which we did not want. Expected better from Mercure.

We arrived and got our family room but the 3rd bed was not prepared! The bathroom was full of dark hairs all around floor and shower, totally disgusting 🤢
