All style and no substance

Awful! The room was tiny, and hot. The air conditioner blew warm air only when the outside air temperature was in the high 20s. Your receptionist’s solution was to leave the window open, which was impossible due to the fact that the room was on a main road. She refused to move me to another room. What kind of a hotel doesn’t have a gym? I asked and was told you have a sauna. It’s not quite the same is it? There was a lot of smiles and nice words from the receptionist but it she was doing was covering for the hotels shortcomings. What was most insulting and frustrating is that I was expected to just accept it! There were no solutions to my problems, just lip service in an attempt to placate me. We were supposed to be there for 5 nights. Starting with me, one by one, 3 colleagues and I all checked out after one night and moved to another hotel, what does that tell you? We agreed that there was no way we could have stayed there for any length of time.

Overall a very pleasant experience. From check in the attention to detail was first class. Although I didn’t get the names a big thank-you to the (trainee) receptionist who checked us in and the very helpful bar man! Thank-you!

The hotel is beautiful equipped and in a good location, meaning, there are a lot restaurant and bars close by, but still far enough from tourist area thus crowds and pries remain reasonable. Except the expensive parking everything was more than satisfying. Most remarkable is the support from the staff, who assisted in any request. Recommend to come here for business trips and others.

Great experience

I have stayed in the Nemzeti many times and it always leaves a lasting impression. Even more this time because I was upgraded to one of the superb suites. The hotel is so much bigger and grander than it appears from the outside and the stairs are so regal that you want to walk down to breakfast rather than use the lift. It's always a good sign when the breakfast staff replenish stocks as quickly as they run out, so top marks all round. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Tops accommodation in the heart of the city

This is an excellent hotel at a very convenient location. On top of a Metro station and near trams and buses. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. They very kindly upgraded me to a junior suite based on my Gold status. The high ceiling rooms are a treat especially since the air conditioning was perfect and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast and Bar were also very good. Only weakness was that there was no room service and the availability of snacks limited to evening only. This must be due to the low occupancy due to the pandemic?

Nice 4nights stay

Very beautiful hotel, nicely renovated at 2012 with friendly staff in an excellent location. Trams, buses, metro at 1 minute distance. Buffet breakfast with a lot of selections to be made. It deserves to stay for a short period either for tourism or for business. In overall the hotel is "value for money".
