This is always a nice place to stay. Most often staff are pleasant and it’s convenient to local destinations. The cost of parking on top of the room rate is offensive and we will look elsewhere in the future. There are other options with more resadonable parking options.

The hotel staff are lovely and service was good. Only let downs was the standard of the restaurant under the hotel. Whilst the food was ok, the service was pretty bad. Staff struggled for breakfast buffet in keeping it stocked but it was very busy. Pool needs to be at higher temperature for Autumn and winter visits.

Room 628. We have requested to NEVER be allocated in that room again. Firstly upon entry we were hit with the awful smell of mould and mildew. Constant coughing and asmtha attacks all through the night. No sleep was had for my family the smell was disgustingly over powering. Could not wait until the morning to get out of there. The position of the room was exactly beside the area covered in fake grass area. Room 628. Which explains the unhealthy smell. It was supposed to be a pleasant Mothers Day stay over. Which it certainly was not. Extremely upsetting. Mentioned the problem on check out. A spoken apology was given. I told the staff member you only need to walk into that room to know exactly what I am talking about. He agreed and quietly nodded his head. It was then that I should have asked to speak to the Hotel Manager. We payed over $400 for the room. Not fair at all Such a wasted unpleasant experience. Because of this experience, never again will we choose to stay here. As previous Platinum Accor members we have only experienced the best welcome and checkout and arrival surprise gift. Unfortunately that is No longer. No complimentary water as a minimum hotel standard. Something needs to be done about this problem in that particular room. Novotel Wollongong have an obligation and duty of care to their paying guests to NOT to just place them wherever in an UNHEALTHY INHABITABLE room because a football team was also there occupying other rooms in the Hotel. I please ask management to just try walk into the room themselves, let alone to try and sleep there overnight to fully understand what I am trying to desperately explain. It shouldn’t always be about the money. It needs to be about the guest experience. Hence, why we have rated accordingly. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

The only problem was our room wasn't ready until 4.30pm. It made us late for our appointment which wasn't ideal
