Overal, the first Accor hotel experience since the Covid restrictions did not encourage future stays. I was disappointed that my booking was moved from a comfortable room in the nearby Pullman to a very basic room in the Novotel. I reserved a larger room with space to work as I had work to complete during my stay, but the room did not really support this. It was not even clear that the room had been fully cleaned. Beyond this, the hotel staff did their best in this challenging situation to provide a good service. Finally, I was charged extra for a no show the day after checking out, even though I had not made any booking.

We are moving to a new country and spent the day doing business and meetings, The staff was extremely helpful. They assisted with our incredible amount of luggage, and with repeated requests for information and with printing a number of documents for me. They helped me find a driver and vehicle to get us to the airport economically as well.

First time in my life I have been charged for having a guest in my room. Room had some very dirty spots (phone and wall) and staff ignored “do not disturb” sign multiple times and entered my room.

We stayed during an overnight layover. The hotel is well located near the airport and metro. We took the free transfer from the airport to the hotel which was very convenient. The Line 8 Metro stop is near the hotel meaning it’s easy to travel into central Madrid. The hotel is nicely decorated and very much in line with the latest generation of Novotel styling. Room was spacious and well equipped. Whole hotel was very clean and staff were all helpful. We didn’t dine at the hotel but the facilities looked good.

The lack of a front desk is a bit odd, however the staff were right there and attentive. The housekeeping staff were very nice. The food buffets were above average, especially the turkey, chicken and fish, and there was plenty there throughout the serving periods. The shower was a little odd in that it was hard to contain the water to it with the open door and that made the floor wet and slippery. Also a soap dish would be nice. The room HVAC was quiet and worked well. I didn't have much time to use the gym but the dumb bells were nice to have there.

Everything perfect but I have missed vegetables at the buffet as they used to have and an a dairy free alternative instead of soya milk and yogurt. Also few more vegetables at our lunch menu.

This hotel has a simple, very modern look and feel. No dusty carpets, no tired bathrooms. Its all sleek lines and simple service options. I stay her for business regulary. its a free hotel shuttle from the airport 10 mins away (or €20 Taxi if you're really in a hurry). Very professional staff who know what they are doing. All the rooms are the same so no wondering if your're in the right part of the building. Clean bathrooms, minibar and safe. Good restaurants nearby and the hotel dinner is good too. Its not in the center of Madrid but it took me 3 mins to get to the underground station and 3 mins to figure out how to use it. Form follows function right? This hotel gets it

Worst Novotel in Europe we have encountered

When we arrived, I told the staff that my wife was hurt that morning and she cannot walk. So ofcourse they gave us a room super long walk from the elevator. Then we were aware of the parking charges, as had been the case all over Spain during every night. However the elevator was broken. When I enquirer about it, they said use the stairs. Imagine doing that with 4 heavy bags + few more small bags. Not the reason why I would pay for parking with plenty of free parking around. I paid for convenience which I didn’t receive. Third we booked a room with a sofa bed. When we got to the room it wasn’t made or opened. So upon calling the front desk they said to open it ourselves. Also the bathroom had broken tiles which is super dangerous for kids with shark corners. Overall I would say the small room sizes and the impersonal attitude of the staff would maybe make this a acceptable business hotel for individuals but it is definitely not a family friendly hotel.

Nice stay during the FITUR, only few minutes walk from the Hotel. Surely first recommendation if IFEMA Center is reason for your stay at Madrid. Near the hotel there is Metro as well - easy access to the city center.

Everything is great at Novotel Campo de las Naciones if I can improve one thing it will be the air conditioning system of the rooms, it don’t heat the room during winter. Everything else is near perfection

Modern hotel reasonably close to the airport with free bus transfer from the airport Spacious open plan ground floor well laid out with areas to meet Good breakfast and evening meal although evening meal relatively expensive Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Although the fact that the power goes off immediately card taken from slot by the door (hence lights go out), you end up in the dark! is annoying. Surely the hotel need to invest in a delay switch like other hotels. Strangest thing is the new Accor checking in system (I have experienced similar in a London Accor hotel recently). On arrival you search for a check in desk, there is none, after searching around an informally dressed (including pink trainers) person asks if they can help. They turn out to be the receptionist with a mobile phone who will check you in. They were very helpful and pleasant however so no complaints about the personnel. I was not the only one confused, I stayed at the hotel with several colleagues who were equally incredulous and confused.

Hotel is nice now refurbished, but the idea of not having a reception desk is not good. Now I know to look out for the not so obvious people in reception. Also you are losing money on breakfast since no one checks to see if you have paid.
