Good location, good View of the room, good service for breakfast at room. But snack for happy hour at Bar has to be improved, compared with Pullman Skyways.

Thanks to a Suite Upgrade I had really a very nice room experience. The Club turned out not to exist any more on the upper floor, which gives the hotel an outdated impression. A couple of times I wanted to order at the bar, but there was nobody. For me the hotel needs some fresh wind ... while the infrastructure is very fine.

first at all, when i was arrived. I got 2 pieces of luggage and nobody trying to help me with the luggage. just stand there, chat with each other. I don’t know the position of the man who standing outside the door, I saw he saw me coming, he do nothing. played the game on his phone. second, why is it that so many terracotta warriors in this hotel located in shanghai ? i asked operators to move out, she was laughing... so maybe Halyen could show more Sofitel or more Shanghai.. HSKPer knocked door twice for different reasons, i quite confused about this.

The room was comfortable, although TV i could not use properly 2318. The breakfast was a disappointing compared to "the normal" times. It did not cost too much though.

Well located is the only thing I can appreciate with this hotel. I have heard a lot good things about it but it is not true if I will stay for a second time nor recommend it to anyone I know. Firstly the hotel room itself it is rather old. The bed is concave because it is old and I couldnt sleep well. The breadfast- serciouly I have paid so much for this but at the end I could only eat egg and fruit every day because I have no choice at all. The coffee service also didn't come everyday-I guess they don't really care about a Chinese look guest because as far as I see when a European look person comes in, they follow. And for two weeks long I only have 2 cups of coffee because I find no one to ask. The best service/ attitude is the receptionist, they always nice, friendly and helpful, room service is also very good. But others is really unsatisfied. The concierge- I understand that in this critical situation, they have to check everyone who enters the hotel especially the new ones who never register but I ask myself that, every time I get into the hotel they look like they have never seem me before and ask what am I doing there?! There are most of the time, minimum 2 person but also even 5 person standing there but what they are doing if they don't even recognize a guest who is stay for such a long time? Right they talked and played with the cell phone. And whenever I came in, they just looked and asked what am I doing in the hotel.

Not content with the TV channels. Choices too little, especially not much global ones. Connection is not stable, and the sound volume control is useless.

The hotel is easy to get to either by metro or car. I went to the hotel by metro so I only saw the back gate with a few stairs up. Nobody in the hotel told me there was actually a front gate located on the other side. The standard room is a little bit crowded but adequate. It's enough for a business trip. The one thing that really needs to be improved is the soundproof function of the window glass.

My week at the Sofitel has been very pleasant. My arrival was welcomed and was well processed by the front office staff who made sure to put me in a very comfortable room. Housekeeping Staff did the room servicing daily and at the acceptable standards. Breakfast was well balanced and most enjoyable, the staff were pleasant and did their job with professionalism, as soon as I entered the restaurant who ever was there at the time, made sure that I got my beloved coffee first thing. SALIM was always at hand and always made sure I was comfortable at the restaurant and in general. My special thanks go to the restaurant staff and Salim.on my second day at the hotel I fell and hurt my back a little , when they found out they all showed concern and kept comforting me. Om my last day Salim went out of his way to escort me to the hotel ground level and helped me with the suitcase due to the back pain. Thanks go to the GM and the executive chef whom I had a little chat With and whom I find doing a great job to make sure the guest walks in happy and leave happy!

I enjoyed my stay at Sofitel Shanghai Hyland. This hotel has great location, near subway station , quite accessible to other parts in Shanghai, and close to the bund.The staff are very helpful and friendly. And the bed is comfortable and cozy. Higher floors are with great views.

Return to the first Sofitel in Shanghai. And it is so worth it. The views and the hotel are placed in a magical places full of lights and views. The executive lounge is on the top floor with stunning views of the city. The best and only place i will stay in Shanghai so don't pass it by.

Hotel is located on famous Nanjing Road and just in 15 minutes by walk from the Bund. The stuff is very friendly, polite and ready to help. My room was very clean and comfortable. Separate word is about bed - really very king size with great Choice of pillow ). Breakfast is very good and wide choice of dishes both Chinese and western. There is also restaurants in hotel. I was visiting Chinese one. Even there were not much people the food was very good and delicious.
