It's a pity that I got bitten by a mosquito and spent the whole night fighting with them

We regret to hear that your stay was disturbed by an unwelcome mosquito. While we maintain strict housekeeping protocols, we understand that these natural occurrences can happen and we empathize with the discomfort it may have caused you. The ibis Gent Centrum Opera offers a modern setting with amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar with a selection of light meals and famous Belgian beers, and our Sweet Bed by ibis for your sleeping comfort. Easy to book, good facilities although the bathroom was very compact. Well situated with helpful reception and good underground parking.

An enjoyable stay. Good breakfast

Our central location in Ghent and our dedicated team are indeed some of the aspects we are very proud of. However, we are sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. We understand the size of the room and bathroom were not to your satisfaction. Our rooms are designed to maximize space and functionality, and all standard rooms are similar in size. Stayed in room 418 from 14th to 17th June. Was woken at various times on first night including 5.30. Was woken on 2nd night at 2.50. Both occasions was noise from room 419. Spoilt our stay and would make me unlikely to book this hotel again. Reported to staff after 2nd night but by then room 419 residents were about to leave.

While we do offer earplugs at reception for our guests' comfort, we truly apologize for any inconvenience caused by external disturbances. Perfect place for a weekend in Gent

Perfect for our boys weekend away. It's a 15 minute walk from the city centre and has it's own private underground parking (first come, first served basis) so we could just leave the car and wander the city. Can't fault the stay - great location, friendly staff, good rooms and priced well. Would definitely stay again if we return to Gent.
