We booked this hotel after a late arrival at Schiphol airport. The hotel is easy to reach by Nightbus (just 5 min walking from the bus stop). The attention at the check in was extremely rude. It can be that we woke up the receptionist. However the hotel offers a 24/7 reception. I would a much friendlier service, as usual at Mercure Hotels all over the world. First of all, the receptionist seemed not to find our booking. He also ignored my Accor Gold status. No welcome drink, no offer of late check out, no room upgrade. Also no mention to the shuttle back to Schiphol (which is supposed to be booked at the check in). The room was quite small but clean and with everything you need for a stay. Unfortunately it was not possible to regulate the temperature and it was quite warm inside. In general, quite dissapointing

I staid in the hotel for self-quarantine before my business flight. This does not display a correct picture of the complete hotel. Hotel room was clean and service was good.

Although the Mercure in Amsterdam is a 4 star hotel, it is not feeling like this at all. Compared to several other hotel (both national -like Ramada, Bilderberg, Westcord Rotterdam..etc- & international), this hotel is below all standards. Where to start? Maybe the first and most important point is the attitude of the staff. They do not seem to 'read' their guests at all. Not polite -no greetings, no 'good morning', no 'thanks for your stay'...not asking anything at all; a point that can easily be improved. They show a rather unpolite and lazy attitude, except for the one (?) Dutch lady at the reception. Another thing, is that they cannot even say sorry after any (of all) mistakes that were made. The rooms were pretty clean, however, not prepared with any sort of perfection or passion. -beds not nicely straight against the wall, carpets not in the right place, curtains not as it should be..etc. The hotel is really lacking maintenances, window surroundings not painted for years, windows with the water inside, nor cleaned from the outside.. A heater/radiator was fixed in the 'hot' position. The food was really not ok. Staff does not seem to care at all. I usually do not complain, but here I had to. Serving unboiled ! eggs for breakfast is not OK. No creativity at all any way. Breakfast without any juice or surprises. Not respecting the 'do not interrupt' signs at the door... even not after mentioning 3 times, just rudely awakening their guests... For this simple breakfast that is being put on the floor anyway. At dinner time, they forgot the starter twice. Very sad. My last dinner was ok, finally no plastic cutleries as well (27th of december) served by a more polite lady cook. The garden is not proper maintained. No nice plants or colors -unlike for example the Bilderberg park hotel- . Green inbetween the tiles... -unlike for example the Ramada-.. Really a bit of a Ghetto feeling. Even rats walking around at the parking/smoking area (where the ashtrays are not being emptied by the way). Hotel is located in vicinity of Schiphol.. maybe the only advantage.. but the bunch of people hanging around/dealing at the gas station feels quite uncomfortable. No. This way, the hotel is not expected to survive the coming years. All my friends and collegues share this opinion.

Was ok but we had to ask for beverages for the room ie tea coffee and cups it was never offered to us. The kettle in our room was a disaster waiting to happen. The on off button didn’t even exist any more so had to pull plug out. Needs replacing ASAP. People walking corridors with no masks. Nowhere near as good as other Mercure we have stayed at. Downstairs bar area etc seemed nice but elsewhere was shabby. Location good for schipol

Dear Judy, I am sorry to hear about the kettle in your room. We have 24 hours reception, if they were informed about this I am sure they would've been happy to bring you a new kettle. We inform everybody that wearing a mask in the public areas of the hotel is mandatory. We do this at check-in and we have posters informing people about this. Unfortunately, it can occur that some people do not follow this rule. If we notice this we will inform people they have to wear as mask. Due to Covid-19 we do not have coffee and tea in the room. As I understand the front office did offer you this at check-in, but you wanted to go to the city first and pick it up later. You never returned. I am are sorry to read we did not meet you expectations.

We stayed for business purposes, one of our customers came to meet us at the hotel due to a tragic fire at the facility we work at. The staff were rude to him and ended up costing us that customers business. We then had a problem with the shower flooding the bathroom and ruining our clothes. We reported it TWICE to staff who did nothing to fix it other than bring an extra towel. When checking out we were told that we should of said something earlier and there was nothing you could do about it now, even though we called down about it straight away. The breakfast at 23 Euros per person was terrible, and no allergy listings were anywhere to be found. Meaning it cost me 23 euros for one black coffee and an orange juice. We always choose to stay with Mecure hotels for work and have never been so dissapointed.

A free shuttle from Schipol took us to this rather grey hotel in the middle of motorways....... We were doubting our choice of this very convenient hotel. We were greeted by a smiling, friendly member of staff. We ate excellent food in the restaurant. Simple food but excellently cooked, full of flavour and well presented. The room was simple, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed one night but would definitely choose this hotel again.

We have really enjoyed our staying on this hotel. Public transportation was very close, and information provided about the locations and travel from airport etc was accurate and useful. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. I liked the small details like cattle, water etc. It was better than my expectations.

Hotel very tidy and beds massive, more like super king size. The only thing is the hotel is around 20mins from centre but hotel was very helpful telling us where to get bus and tram from.

- Had to wait for the shuttle at the airport extra 20mins because of some "technical issue" - The room bathroom smelled like sewer - I have stayed earlier in 3 star hotel close by and this was 4 stars. Did not feel like 4 stars, actually the 3 star hotel seemed a little better + Breakfast was good + Smooth checkout and bill with email directly was handy

stay was standard - staff were nice although not much interaction with guest. & although we had the notice on the door for staff to come in as we would be asleep, it wasn’t very nice when cleaners & people for the vending machine were walking in as we are half asleep in our bedroom afire.

The hotel was very average with poor service. Left with no towels and when we called up for them we were left waiting almost an hour for someone to bring them u . Super far out of the city and was a bit of faff with the buses as it dropped you far away from most of the touristy places in the centre
