We searched for a special place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we did it: the Papadopoli hotel was the perfect place! Elegant and clean, the hotel very well positioned for both public transportation and walking to explore and enjoy Venice. Just across the street (sorry, across the bridge 😊) you can mingle with the people eating and drinking in the piazzetta or, if you want a quiet place, just close the windows of your room, and you get a perfect silence. You choose. Very nice food in the restaurant and a cozy atmosphere in the bar. A special thank you goes to the Papadopoli’s team that always provided a prompt and courteous service

The Hotel was beautiful and well located and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to check into our room early which was a real bonus…..however while standing at the automatic main hotel doors the doors started to close and hit me on the left side of my face and right arm causing bruising and swelling to my face and a graze to my arm. I would have expected there to be a failsafe on the doors to prevent contact. I reported this twice to members of the reception team who were apologetic but no safety report was done and the manager was not called.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience occurred and for not having been called immediately; I might say that probably our front desk agent, once verified that the situation did not was dangerous for you, thought that everything was in order. Please accept my sincerest apologies. All our staff is well-trained in first aid and regularly attend courses to be always ready to act when needed to assist and rescue a person. About the entrance, both sliding doors in and out are equipped with a safety system and person sensor that open and close automatically when a presence is detected. We have reported the case to our chief of maintenance who made the appropriate verification, but no mechanical failure has been found. I sincerely hope now you are well, and that this inconvenient did not completely ruin your stay with us. This is a really good hotel which I'd like to rate better... For this, it would have been great to have at least an espresso machine in the room (not only instant coffee which is unbelievable in Italy), as well as housekeeping not chatting loudly from 8am.

Hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately, front desk staff was very unfriendly and very unwelcoming. We were very dissatisfied with the front desk staff. We typically love ACCOR hotels but we were not happy with our experience.

Those days were really very busy in Venice because of an international event and the Hotel was fully booked; this is not meant to be an excuse, of course, but probably we were not able to dedicate your the right time and attention. Sorry once again if we gave you this bad impression, which is far way from our usual behavior. We all share the wish to give an unforgettable service experience, and I’m deeply sorry to hear that we failed with you.
