Our 2nd city on our Italy trip from Australia. The pre-arrival communication was excellent. We were provided excellent advise in terms of finding our way from the central station. Except for having to carry our luggage over the " glass Bridge" it was an easy walk. Check-in was smooth and the information provided about the hotel services was good. The map with recommended local places to eat were good. The only disappointment was the KM 0 Venezia osteria which is 200m from the hotel where the portions were small and the price not, we felt rushed. As Accor plus platinum members we were upgraded. This was good since we realized that the rooms were small. Very small. Once we found room for our medium suitcases it was hard to pass around the bed or get to the toilet. The rooms were quiet , sound proofed and well appointed with good amenities. The central location of the Papadopoli was excellent and the outlook from our room to the canal and that of the dining area to the serene park which was in spring bloom was exceptional. The furthest was St Marks Bascilica and the Doge palace which was an interesting 30 min walk. We were able to walk every where and were able to avoid the over priced water taxi or the crowded vaporetto. We decided to have dinner at the hotel on the first night and were able to enjoy a beautiful outlook and a nice dinner with good service. The Cocktails were excellent. The Breakfast service was above our expectations in terms of choice, freshness, and service. Thank you Armando ( Dinner), Catarina , Nicoletta and Karina. The breakfast service staff were quite, unobtrusive but attentive. The overall experience was exceptional. Thank you . Sam & Angela

The location was perfect, close enough to the train station and within walking distance of everything. Polite and friendly staff, good breakfasts, comfortable and clean room overlooking a lovely park. It’s near good restaurants yet in a quiet area. We were very pleased and would stay again!

Rooms were very small for the money we paid and the breakfast did not have enough variety. They charged me 20 euros for a can of coke in our room fridge which they had not mentioned that you have to pay for. The amount of money that this hotel cost per night was not worth it.

This hotel is not worth the money. The matress sagged so badly that I nearly fell out of the bed. The "patio" was bare, except for the exposed wiring from the broken external wall lamp and you have a choice: either the desk lamp can be plugged in OR the television. Seriously, I have stayed 7 times in Venice and this was the worst - at the highest cost.

After receiving your comments, we promptly inspected the room and the mattress is in good condition and not sagging, however, it is topped with a soft “sous-matelas” designed for added comfort, which may have given a different sensation in terms of support. As for the desk lamp, it was simply unplugged, most likely by the previous guest, perhaps to charge a phone or another device and then plug only the tv (of course we are deeply sorry for our lack of attention). We also checked the outdoor lighting and we can confirm that is functional correctly. We regret that these details affected your overall impression, especially considering your past visits to Venice. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re already working to address the elements you've brought to our attention.
