Great location (situated right next to the Cathedral), but difficult to access by car. Hotel could provide a more detailed instruction in the confirmation email for those traveling by car. The staffs did provide good assistance on the phone call, though. The breakfast is excellent. The room is good; very comfortable beds, but the decoration and ambient is a bit dated. Overall a great experience. Would recommend it.

Once we had found the car park, it was nice and smooth. Super helpful member of staff on Reception, who gave us maps and recommended restaurants too! Lovely room with a small balcony, always a bonus!

Great stay in a wonderful location in the heart of the old town . Plenty of restaurants and shops to fill you days and evenings.

Difficult to find, impossible to park

The main asset of the Mercure Rouen Center Cathédrale hotel is its location in the heart of the old town, at the foot of the famous cathedral. This location and the charm of the pedestrian area makes accessibility complex and our teams deploy extensive communication efforts to reach us. Did you receive our email with the access map as well as the city terminal code? We send them to all our customers for whom we have an email, the day before their arrival. No shower gel in the bathroom

When we arrived there was no shower gel in the bathroom. We unfortunately didn’t have with us as packed only the essentials for one night. I asked the receptionist and they said this would have been replaced shortly but no one came during the night with the result that no one could take a shower. The morning after I asked again at the reception and the guy wasn’t even sorry about it! He said this would have been replaced shortly (of course this didn’t happen). I had to send my husband around to see if a supermarket was open and we ended up buying a new one. This is very disappointing. We usually travel with our toiletries but since it was just one night we thought to use the hotel ones. Such a shame to see how the hotel fails to provide even the basic necessities of the room. Especially after we asked twice. The hotel can even be in a nice location but it’s not worth the stay if the service is bad.
