We were given very clear arrival instructions, especially important as the town centre is pedestrianised! After driving through a few hundred saturday afternoon shoppers, we finally made it to the building, parked the car in an impossibly steep and tight underground car park, only to find out that the whole city centre was to be cordoned off the following morning due to the annual Rouen marathon! As a result, on advice from the very helpful receptionist we squeezed the car out of the parking and relocated to Parking St Marc - about 600 mtrs away. I mention this mainly because the St Marc park is so much easier to navigate with spaces large enough for pretty much any car and we would certainly just go straight there next time. The accommodation is so-so, but only to be expected of an older city centre establishment. Small room, not much light etc. However, it was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. And finally, because the hotel is so dog-friendly and the weather wasn't great, we decided to dine in. The menu is small, but with some great dishes and we found the food was excellent and reasonably priced.

We appreciated being able to walk to nice restaurants, the Cathedrale, the churches, the Joan of Arc Historical experience. The room was comfortable, the staff were kind. Parking was easy underground of the hotel.
