This Hotel is in a beautiful old building in a great location even though you had to walk thru the train station we never felt unsafe even a night. We were upgraded to massive top floor room with a balcony . Accor are insisting on only one welcome drink even if your platinum member

We had a so called superior room. Superior to what? All the double or twin rooms are either Superior or Privelege which is misleading as there are no other rooms which our room could be superior to. The so called luxury bedding had holes in the bottom sheet. The quilt fitted a 150cm wide bed perfectly except that our bed was 180cm wide. Every door in the room had squeaky hinges and the basin plug didn’t work. We could hear the the light switches being operated in the adjacent room and could hear TVs from adjacent rooms on both sides. The service in the bar was inconsistent. Not even a 3 star hotel at the moment. We’ve had better experiences at IBIS hotels.

zeeba1 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

This is a three star hotel in my opinion . Suggest stay closer to shopping and cafe district . Was on a coach tour room not ready on checkin so went out . Friendly reception . Breakfast great . The hotel room inside is average as quite old , it was clean, the air conditioning ok but I couldn’t turn off the shower ventilation so heard it all night . The room has step over bath into shower . What was of concern is the neighborhood outside certainly at night I would not be walking back as hotel few minutes walk from train station with undesirables outside , it did not feel safe .

We were part of a group, only stayed for one night. Pleasantly surprised by the hotel, lovely building, our room overlooked the railway station, no noise. Dinner and breakfast were good, the staff very helpful.

Good location, next to the intercity train station and Metro/tram/bus lines. The hotel is in a gorgeous building and rooms have been nicely renovated. The front desk staff is quite mixed, with some more pleasant and friendly than others. Toiletries are trimmed to the bare minimum for the Mercure chain - no hair conditioner or body lotion. Breakfast was always hectic and crowded, even though the staff replenished food regularly.
