Suite was nice and clean and well equipped but unfortunately everything else let the experience down. Overcharged for drinks, tried charging for private parking (not used, despite numerous unanswered emails asking if it was available) tried charging for breakfast (not had). Room was not available at 12:30 even though check in was from 12:00, had to wait well over an hour, before it was, with no offer of a complimentary coffee while waiting. We were one family waiting to check in and receptionist prioritised 15+ conference party first even though there was more turning up to join their queue. Again we had to wait, unfortunately no interest in dealing with us. We have not had this level of poor service in any other Mercure hotel that we have stayed at. Unfortunately, we won't be back to Mercure Niort.

We had to early evening report shocking noise from children running unchecked and banging doors . Eventually went to reception and asked to be moved , which you obliged . We had ordered room service as restaurant closed for two days on the busiest weekend in August . The food was in glass jars , clearly pre made & heated & frankly for €80 for two an over priced poor quality experience . Am having voiced my views , €10 was offered by way of apology . Needless to say , we will not be returning .

Check in smooth and welcoming. Car park in hotel basement, a normal electric socket for trickle recharge of electric cars. (hotel needs to invest in installing several electric recharge points 11kwh and 22kwh if possible). Evening meal good, breakfast exceptional. Privilege rooms well appointed , room 219 , quiet at end of corridor.

Nice hotel. Everything is good as expected from a Mercure. We booked a room with a baby bed. It was supposed to have a mattress but unfortunately there was not. We arrived quite late and the person at the reception was pretty rough and said that they have never provided any mattress for babies. We discovered the next morning that they do have mattresses but the person on night shift did not know about it and did not installed it.
