We stayed one night en route to Perpignan. Bed was comfortable and breakfast good. Reception staff were excellent.

The Mercure Toulouse Wilson feels to me like yet another fine property that consultants cut to the bone during the pandemic and never restored. No bathrobes, which I thought was part of a four-star rating, bare-bones amenities (e.g. all-in-one shower gel, shampoo, soap in a container screwed into the wall), and less-than-luxury bedding. On the upside, wifi is zippy and the staff are pleasant. And here's a tip: if you're driving and have a normal-sized car, use an adjacent public parking lot. The on-premise garage is sized for Barbiemobiles, for which they ask 20€ per day.

We arrived to an upgrade of a privilege room which was a lovely surprise as it was my birthday. Everything easily walkable for two elderly people and restaurants we ate in were both excellent. Long time since visiting Toulouse but will certainly be back for more culture.

Friendly reception staff. Expensive breakfast for what is offered. Very uncomfortable garage.
