The hotel was charming, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, and the room was pretty, clean, and sufficiently spacious. The parking fee is high at 15 euro per night. The hotel is not in the center but about 10-15 minutes walk from the center. The swimming pool is a bit small but pleasant.

Perhaps once this was a good hotel, but now it is worn and a bit scruffy in places. During my stay the room was not clean when I arrived and was not clean throughout my stay. Breakfast is basic with the most difficult to use coffee machine I have ever experienced. It is also expensive. The underground car park is extremely small and very difficult to park in without damaging your car. Also, the hotel is not well positioned for downtown Dijon, requiring either a taxi journey or a 20 minute walk. The free internet is incredibly slow and if you want internet that works then you have to pay extra. The restaurant and bar are expensive and the service is slow. This is not a cheap hotel and so I had expected the basics such as cleanliness and service to be at an acceptable standard.
Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Don't hesitate to come to me for a further reservation Sincerely, Romain MEHEUT Directeur d'exploitation Hôtel Mercure Dijon centre Clemenceau

A nice hotel with a good atmosphere around the pool area, and a really cozy restaurant. Good rooms, with new interior and good quality.

Checked in to this refurbished hotel. Room was clean. Booked in person at the restaurant for later that evening. When we arrived, we were left in the middle of the dining area whilst the waitress checked our table with the Manager. Eventually showed to a table and given menus. Many staff on duty but after 15 minutes no-one had come to take a drinks or meal order. Eventually the restaurant manager arrived to take the order but immediately left without apology when the phone rang. A different waiter finally came to take the order as the manager was still on the phone. The item we ordered (entrecote) was not available and the nearest equivalent was much more expensive. By this point we had been in the restaurant for half an hour and had not been brought a glass of water or been able to order a meal from the, expensive, menu. We chose to leave and eat outside the hotel. I would strongly advise guests not to eat in the hotel restaurant. The manager is surly and unfriendly and the staff under him are not well managed or efficient in their work. All in all most unsatisfactory and we will not try to eat there again when we return next week.
Dear Duncan G., Firstly, thank you for your feedback. I took the time to read it and shared it with my restaurant team. This kind of feedback isn't what we expect when we choose to work in the hospitality I understand your feelings after this bad experience. I just want to tell you that this isn't the kind of experience that our customers have and that we are generally recognized for our service and friendliness. I know you have a reservation for next Wednesday. first of all, thank you for be loyal with us. I will be available to meet you when you arrive if you wish and I am also available to reserve a table for you in our restaurant if you wish to give us a second chance. My teams are young but I can assure you that they choosed to do this job because they like customer service. Sincerely, Romain MEHEUT Directeur d'Exploitation Hôtel Mercure Dijon centre Clemenceau
