I booked two rooms for one overnight; rooms on the 5ft floor deserve some refurbishment. Impossible to book a parking place in the garage of the hotel, average breakfast.

Our favourite hotel in France-smart tasteful rooms,superb on site restaurant,heated outdoor pool and a very warm welcome always from Celine and her team on reception.

I had booked the wrong night and turned up a day late. Fortunately, a room was available and the reception staff very accommodating. The room was to a good standard and comfortable. My wife was disappointed that some of the usual extras, like shower caps, were not available. The evening meal was superb. A top chef. We were a bit disappointed to be kept waiting for the sweet trolley. I suspect customers were being dealt with in order, but it would have been helpful to be told they had to deal with a few tables before us. It was quite a long wait. The breakfast was ok but nothing exciting. There were no warm plates for the cooked breakfast. There did not seem to be a toaster - despite the lovely looking bread.

Efficient as usual. Secure parking is very important to us. Enjoyed dinner in Hotel Restaurant. Would like alternative softer artisan bread to mini baguettes. Sliced bread usually for toast was only thing available.

Well located, not far from down town, all commodities swimming pool and good opportunity for having a diner outside in quiet place. The team was nice with us. The only one thing not good but was our second night, a guy outside the hotel, probably in building closer a people did a lot of noise between 3 to 4 am CET. I believe all guest were impacted, but it outside your responsibility. Everything was nice, maybe the diner a little bit expensive for the plates we had

All well with check in, room and buffet breakfast. Not so good with room service which took an hour and a quarter to arrive, having been told it would be half an hour, as well as a couple of phone calls to chase it up. To add insult to injury, two of the three supposedly hot dishes were cold. The discount was little consolation as we'd planned an early start the next day which we couldn't make as a result of the slow service. The food, by the way, was tasty - the kitchen clearly knows how to cook which makes the experience doubly disappointing.

Good rooms, terrible mix up on breakfast in room

Moved to Mercure in preference to Novotel because of the room standard. Room was excellent. Staff were trying to be helpful. However, a mix up on breakfast caused us to be late leaving and was very frustrating. We ordered for 08.00. At 8.25, we called down to chase and were told it would be with us soon. At 8.40, it arrived. However, my wifes fruit salad and the cooked items (sausage, egg, bacon) were missing. The member of staff was almost in a panic whilst we sorted what was missing as he was clearly very busy. He promised the rest in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, we phoned and were told they were waiting for the eggs. We said, don't worry about the eggs, just get the fruit salad and sausage and bacon. 15 minutes later, the person arrived with just two bowls containing scrambled eggs! We gave up and left. Instead of our planned departure by 08.45, it was almost 9.45 when we left. Also - the room's large coffee machine is located on a small tray in a high, dark location and is difficult to see. The note said fill the machine with the water in the bottle. However, half of the water leaked out because it was difficult to fill the machine at that height and ensure the container was fitted properly. Then, despite there still being about 4cm of water left, the machine would not turn on, apparently because there was not enough water in it. But if it needs a lot more water - why only leave a small bottle that is not enough? To make matters worse, we wanted this coffee at about 20.30 and, when the machine did not work, we phoned down for coffee - but it never arrived.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel due to particular circumstances. The room size is big, separate bathroom separate toilets, mini-bar, coffee machine, safe, flat TV and free wifi. The room and the hotel are very clean, parking was free, it has a gastronomic restaurant and private swimming pool. Our room was overlooking the swimming pool. The personnel was very helpful and allowed us to late checking.

Easy to find the hotel. Helpful staff at check-in and parking on site. Room excellent with quiet outlook. Evening meal and breakfast very good too- waiters in restaurant gave some good advice re the menu.

The hotel is conveniently placed for the center of Dijon, with comfortable rooms, and a top class restaurant. We enjoyed a pleasant walk in the old town, a welcome drink in the bar, and great meal. We will return again soon.

The hotel is very nice and modern. The whole staff is very friendly. They accept pets and have a private parking. Just perfect for travellers like me. Fast check-in and check-out. Good value. I definetly reccommend it.

Bad service at reception and restaurant

Worst stay ever in an Accor hotel. After many years of member of which 5 years of gold/platinum we are never had a more bad welcome. By the check in kindly asked if an upgrade was possible. Answer was a short NO (if fully booked I fully understand of course, but the way was very crude). If I could have also a welcome drink for my wife (see had a congress for Zonta)? Answer no, otherwise they would loose there franchise from Accor!!! Accor was strictly controlling the welcome drinks... ???? and this for a Petit Chablis of 6,5€. I never had this in my live over 3 continents in Accor. If your are platinum, she liked to humilate the customer I had the impression. I went for a bottle of Saint-Veran myself. The last morning a asked for a short late check-out( 1/2-1 hour) because my wife was stil at the Zonta conference. AWNSER NO!!! why? all room must be ready by 6 pm, deslolé!! ( I was a "false désolé", see just liked to treat me bad!). I can not image that all the rooms must been clean at 12 sharp if so many are leaving at the end of the conference. Overall there was in the restaurant and the bar not enough staff for a fully booked hotel (!) near a conference center. The breakfast was to late refilled, only half of the coffee-machines did work and we need to clean a table owerself in order to have breakfast. Always go together as a couple to breafast in the morning! My wife went 15 min earlier because of her conference. The room nr was already marked and I could not get in (apparently I was considerd as a thief who wants 2 breakfast!) at the end I could get in.

Check in/out staff nice enough, rooms modern and wide, well equipped with everything. A very negative note, however, goes to the hotel restaurant. I would've willingly paid the exaggerated price, if the food hadn't been so poorly cooked, and especially if we hadn't had to share our meal with dozens of flies. Pretentious, without delivering at all, it left a bitter aftertaste to the whole stay.

Excellent hotel in DiJon downtown just in front of the Congress Palace. Quality of service, courtesy of staff are at the top. The hotel restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The only minus I found is that except for one waitress most of service personnel at hotel restaurant have a very poor command of English and only speak French which is not acceptable for a hotel at this rate.

Room very pleasant. Restaurant modern and comfortable. Food OK - innovative perhaps but not exceptional and rather overpriced. Good wine list. Terrace very good for breakfast. Attentive restaurant staff. Hotel well positioned for exploring Dijon.
