Good staff who were friendly and welcoming. Hotel getting dated having stayed a few times over the years. Room design shows the original French model. TV and a few other areas a bit dusty.

Reception and room services were satisfactory. Nice breakfast with a good choice of food and drinks. Ladies serving in the breakfast time were kind to kids. Recommended for family stay.

We have been using one of the hotel in London for quite a few years now and had every year a good experience. This time, we tried the Southampton one and the facilities weren't as nice as usual even if I paid for the upgraded room. Also pool and gym quite small. Not a complaint, just a fact Further more, I have specifically asked if the restaurant was open for Xmas as we were arriving on that day and couldn't risk my family to not have lunch/dinner. Restaurant was closed for lunch and they offer a buffet that was very disappointing. Staff was very nice and I understand that the problem was that they were under staffed but still not a nice experience. We ended up not paying for lunch (as the worse we got served undercooked chicken) and got a discount for the dinner (you can understand not many option on Xmas day and we just wanted to relax and not going out) as we didn't receive what we ordered (or discussible presentation). I reiterate that staff was nice and helpful and tried to solve all those problems as best as they could but definitely our Xmas day was a tainted by the food experience Thanks

Overnight stay with daughter's family. Rooms were clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Some of us had an early morning swim which was very enjoyable before meeting up with everyone for a lovely buffet breakfast.

Friendly functional family friendly but not perfect

Very friendly staff on reception and bar, hotel clean but starting to look tired. Car parking fee not made clear beforehand. Vert very hot rooms and although windows open the proximity to the port and police station make exterior noise the trade-off.

I dont normally bother with these surveys, but just felt this was one i couldn't ignore. Where do I start. 90%of people fellow guest were not wearing face mask. At breakfast this was brought to the managers attention and all she could say she could not enforce this. But they were not even reminding guest of the mandatory policy to wear mask in the hotels. Due to this we felt uneasy staying for breakfast the following day so we left. We had a 2 night stay and only stayed the 1. night. We always look to stay at this hotel, but will probably be our last to be honest.

Really convenient location for me. All the staff were very pleasant. The not-so- good stuff (not the hotels fault): 1. I was on 3 night shifts so sleeping during the day. The guests opposite me and for a few rooms next to them (they all seemed to know each other) were EXTREMELY noisy and kept waking me up. They knocked on each other’s doors loudly and excessively and shouted at the occupants inside to let them in. They also shouted at each other down the corridor. VERY ANNOYING. 2. The ‘fridge’ in my room was actually WARM. I had bought some food in to eat during the day if I woke up hungry. I had to throw this away because it had been kept too long at the wrong temperature. 3. Guess I picked the wrong time for breakfast…all of it was no where near hot enough. 4. I had a vegan burger for my dinner. Although it was quite nice I thought it was very expensive for what it was.

The hotel room was booked for my wife and 2 young children. The room was not catered for young kids at all. It was cramped and not very modern at all.

The hotel was clean, cosy and the staff were great We weren’t told about parking charges so was surprised to find a charge in my card nearly a week after checking out.

Very disappointing food

The quality of the food offering in the lounge/bar (evening) and breakfast was very poor. Unusually for this hotel I couldn't believe how limited the menu was at dinner, as it seemed that the restaurant was closed for "regular" residents. Whilst we had no objection to sitting in the bar lounge, the choice was very uninspiring. We would have gone elsewhere if we hadn't just driven up from Cornwall. The staff were all friendly enough though!

Exceptionally helpful staff. Was allowed early access to room and gym facilities. Electric scooters in adjacent carpark provided a fun way to see the city. Breakfast buffet of a really good standard l.

Me and my family stayed here for the weekend for us to visit Paulton's Park (about 15mins away) and we found it very conveniently positioned, the Family Executive Room was very comfortable and the staff very polite and helpful. The carpark was a bit tight and very busy but we always found a space.

We stayed prior to a cruise but currently the hotel seems to be used as a hone for asylum seekers who crowd around reception and the lobby as well as sitting and smoking outside the front door. The staff hide at the furthest desk from the entrance and you struggle to find them. The auto check out does not work and basically the whole place feels pretty unfriendly.
