Unlike some hotels above the average that could decline at some point, Mercure St Lo remain in my top hotels experience among all my hotel stay in the past 20years all over the world and clearly best of class for ACCOR hotel. The key points that I really appreciate are the following: Charging point for my EV car with no extra charge during the night if the battery is full (No need to wake up a 3am to disconnect). Room service, Very short waiting for check in and check out, perfectly clean and nice room, excellent breakfast, price for quality remaining reasonable. So in short the only place I want to consider when I am travelling in the region.

SNCF repairing tracks during the night

At first, we were quite happy. Then at midnight, the SNCF decided to carry out repairs on the tracks opposite our room. We understand that it’s the best time for them, however the hotel should have been warned to inform customers. We did not get any sleep until around 0600am by which time it was time to get up. We did get a refund on 2 out of 3 breakfasts but we still find this to be very poor compensation.

This was a nice overnight stay during a bus tour group through Normandy. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The morning breakfast was nice, and the AC in the room worked well for us. The only caveat, was the internet was down that evening. The hotel had a restaurant and lounge and there were a handful of restaurants to walk to right around the corner of the hotel.
