The rooms are nice and big, and the bed is comfortable. The worst part of the hotel is the restaurant. The hotel's location pushes you to have dinner within the hotel as there are not many options than going to Eindhoven, so you would expect that the restaurant services are well prepared and trained, however, they are the contrary. You need to book in advance so they can manage the number of people having dinner at the same time, which is nice if it would affect the quality of the service. I only stayed one night, so I only went once to the restaurant for dinner. I went at 20 as I had already a booking. Once I was at my table, after 10 minutes of waiting for the waiter to attend to me, I decided to chase them or I had the feeling that I wouldn’t have dinner that night. During those 10 minutes, I could already notice the chaos that they were experiencing at the restaurant. The guy seat at my left after quite some time waiting for the bill decided to leave the table and approach directly the waiters in the reception as he insisted many times on it without success. On the right side, an old couple was having dinner and ordering some beer which one of the untrained waiters spilled over the man ruining his nice shirt. Furthermore, when they bring this old couple the food, after quite some time, they make a mistake on the dish and brought the wrong plate. As I already stayed in the past in this hotel and had a bad experience with the restaurant I was already mentally prepared for it, so I just put my headphones on and play some Netflix on my phone after ordering as I knew it was going to take a while before having my food. What I could not understand is why people arriving around 20 minutes after me (I traveled solo) got their dishes quite some time before I did. Last but not least, as I already had a bad experience in my last stay with the dessert (I waited for around 40 minutes when the restaurant was empty) I directly skipped it and go straight to the reception to pay so I could avoid the long waiting time.

Dear Alex, Thank you for your stay and the detailed feedback. Unfortunately I have to admit we have had staff issues and are not yet resolved. We are doing everything we can to attract new colleagues and keep them at the hotel. This week our new Restaurant Manager fortunately has started and is getting things sorted, such as the long waiting times and communication within the team. Together with a few new colleagues starting first of October the majority of the issues will be resolved in the nearby future and we hope new colleagues will join the team later on and we can function again as you can expect from Novotel Eindhoven. I have forwarded your feedback to our new Restaurant Manager so he can see first hand what the current issues are and take proper action. Thank you very much for giving us this opportunity.
