Unfriendly and hurried

The staff was generally unfriendly. Also, besides making me pay for everything in advance, I was hurried out of my room every single time I stayed there. People, from the front desk making calls to cleaning people knocking on my door literally every so often asking me when will I leave even though I had paid in advance for extra two hours. I could not work in peace.

The hotel is old, 6 floors with only 1 elevator. The rooms are not renovated, the bathroom is horrible. The toilet is pressed into a corner. The toilet seat is about 35cm "high" which is VERY uncomfortable. Additional, the cover from this plastic seat falls on your back once you go sitting. It is also very difficult to sit down as there is so little space. For 475 EUR per night i would expect something that is 5x better. NEVER AGAIN Mercure for me !

The room was smaller than expected and didn’t match the photos online. It felt a bit misleading and disappointing. However, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. Overall, it could use some improvements.

The room was comfortable. Hotel was perfectly located. However, several issues: * we were given the very last room from the elevated. My wife is handicapped and this was difficult for her. * shower temperature ran hot to cold to hot continuously throughout the shower. * we opted for eco option, but trash cans were not emptied.

- At the time of writing (August 2024), there are renovations with scaffolding on the outside. You have to draw your curtains if you don't want to be seen. - When I arrived at 0100, reception could not check me in for ten minutes. I guess that it was an IT problem. - The WiFi is pretty slow + My room was quiet and comfortable + The location is central, without being noisy + The staff were very friendly and welcoming I would happily stay here again.
