The room was too close to the lift. But otherwise served it's purpose for what I needed during my stay.

This hotel should not be in Accor group because it is so bad it devalues Ibis and Accor brand.

Check in fine, staff welcoming. Drink voucher was worth €3.50 which is almost an insult with only a 25 cl pression or a soft drink offered. Rooms are cramped, dated with tiny windows. Poor sound insulation from neighbouring rooms. Bathrooms are really awful. The WC is almost impossible to sit on as the wall is so close to it. Shower without a thermostatic valve and tap that gets knocked when showering cutting water supply. Horrid old plastic floor. Bed comfortable. No tea/coffee making facility, no fridge, water or safe. Antiquated heating system. Had supper in the restaurant which was disappointing. Badly butchered lamb chops served with dull chips but no vegetables. Breakfast was passable but no staff except to ask my room number. How about asking for a name rather than giving your clients numbers. Lastly the garage is absurdly over priced.

Watch out for your car ! Attention a votre voiture!

We stayed at Ibis Chartres Centre Cathedrale on January 16 and parked our rental car in the covered parking under the hotel. The next morning we went to get our car and we had several big dents on the passenger door side and door frame of the car. I went back to the office but nobody would come to see the damage to the car even though there were two people at the reception. I was told to send an email to the hotel and that the manager would answer me. I sent a email with several photos explaining what happened and got an answer from a staff member saying that there is no camera in the covered parking so there is no proof that damage occured in the parking and that Ibis is not responsible for what happened. Those who park their car in the supposed secure garage must enter a code and there appears to be a camera at that spot. We believe with a little effort that the hotel should find the person that damaged our car. Nous sommes restes a Ibis Chartres Centre Cathédrale le 16 janvier et avons gare notre voiture de location dans le parking couvert de l'hotel. Le lendemain, nous sommes allés a la voiture et avons vu que la porte droite ainsi que l'encadrement étaient enfonces. Je suis allé a la reception mais personne ne pouvait venir constater les dégâts bien qu'il y avait deux personnes mais pas une personne ne voulait descendre. L'une de ces personnes m'a dit d'envoyer un mail. C'est ce que j'ai fait avec a l'appui plusieurs photos montrant les dommages. J'ai eu une réponse de la part d'une employee me disant qu'il n'y a pas de camera dans le parking couvert, qu'il n'y a pas de preuves comme quoi que les dommages se sont passes dans le garage et que Ibis n'est donc pas responsable. Les clients qui garent leur voiture dans le parking souterrain soit disant sécurisé doivent faire un code a la la porte et il semble qu'il y a une camera a cet endroit. Nous pensons qu'avec un peu d'effort la direction de l'hotel devrait trouver qui a endommage la voiture.

The hotel is always clean and staff welcoming. Plus there is locked parking underground. Breakfast is always sufficient with fresh bread and croissan t. Fresh coffee and juice. The restaurant is efficient and food of a good standard

Hotel was easy to find and well located. Secure parking was good albeit at a cost. Rooms and corridors suffering a bit from ageing but basic needs met. Apart from no tea and coffee making facilities. Restaurant fine for dinner and breakfast. Staff friendly and responsive. Ditto reception. The terrace and riverside setting would be lovely to enjoy in summer. Overall a decent overnight stop.

Excellent. All the staff at the Ibis Chartres were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is a little tired in places but the location and friendliness of all the staff more than makes up for this.

Good welcome clean functional room excellent dinner. Not offered a welcome drink voucher given when requester For the first time in Ibis or Novotel only one person received a welcome drink although staying as a couple Every other time we are both offered one.

I enjoyed my stay, staff very helpful and room comfortable. If I could comment on anything that would be - the toilet in the bathroom is so close in the corner it is uncomfortable to sit on (an I am a short person), there is no toilet brush either. I missed scrambled eggs for the breakfast - they were not available or I couldn't find them. First day, I found a take away coffee cup which was great but next two days there were none.

The bed and pillows were remarkably comfortable but room very small. My friend had an issue with bad smell from the drains, very average dinner and breakfast. The hotel was adequate for our purpose to stay one night on a long journey. Good to have a locked car park but awkward to get out of.

We were very pleased with the location as it suited our itinery, and we have always enjoyed our stays in IBIS Hotels. However this stay did not live up to the standard we have come to expect for the following reasons: Firstly the explanation in relation to our complimentary drinks voucher was contradictory to what we have experienced in other French Ibis Hotels. Whilst we understand that it is at the discretion of the Hotel management, we were told that the voucher was for one drink only unlike the policy in English Ibis Hotels ! The staff did not seem clear on what the actual policy was. Secondly we took advantage of the express check out and it was only on our journey to our next destination that we discovered that we had been charged for two days breakfasts that we had not ordered or indeed had! On phoning the Hotel, we were told that the bill had been produced automatically, however it was acknowledged that we had not booked nor had had the breakfasts! We were assured that this would be rectified before the final account was settled, and that an email confirming this would be sent to us. However on checking our account the incorrect amount had in fact been deducted and we have still not received any confirmation from the Hotel. This is after we had contacted Accor customer service, explaining the problem, and who after speaking with the Hotel, confirmed that a refund would be paid in the very near future. To date (7th October)We are still waiting for the refund!! This is not the service we expect.
