This hotel is in a very convenient area, with lots of shops, restaurants and services nearby. Room is on the small side, but as expected. The restaurant, Treo, is not terribly busy, but we actually had a very nice dinner there one evening. Mattress was very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was great, which is so important. The things that would make me not want to return there? Powdered coffee creamer (why bother putting a Nespresso machine in the room if you’re not going to provide proper dairy?), sad, little bathroom towels, and very budget style bathroom, toiletries.

Location is the only reason to stay at this hotel

The first night we arrived the fire alarm went off late in the evening. Fortunately there was no fire in the hotel but apparently in an adjoining building. So a bit of an unsettling start to an 8 night stay. Only found out at check in that the pool was being renovated and could not be used. This was disappointing. The room itself is in desperate need of refurbishment. The carpet was badly stained. The bathroom shower had black mold. The finish on the hand held shower head and hose was peeling and sharp, as can be seen in the picture. I reported this to maintenance after I cut my hand on it and it was replaced promptly but the water tap below was coming out of the wall, also reported to maintenance, making the shower difficult to use. This was never repaired. There were two light switches, one near the door, one near one side of the bed, which did not turn on or off any lights. So the only light operated by a switch was one pot light near the room door. One arm of the desk chair was badly damaged as can be seen in the picture. There was no full length mirror in the room though there was indeed space for one. I found this odd. The air conditioning unit was loud. The room darkening drapes did not close properly leaving a large gap on one side and in the middle. But the worst part of my stay was hearing the guest in what sounded like a room above mine go the toilet. How can walls be this thin. Mine was not an adjoining room. The morning I was checking out I dropped a charging cable near to the bed. When I had to reach to retrieve it, I was fairly horrified to see the dust behind the night stand and headboard. There was also a significant amount of dust next to the room safe, beside the room fridge, and along the base of the bed, along with a piece of candy on the carpet which was not mine! At times there was a very long wait for one of the three elevators. The only reason to stay at this hotel is the convenient location with good access to public transport.

Bed bugs room 1916

We had bed bugs in our room. The front desk person was not sympathetic or helpful. I asked to speak to a manager and he said someone would call me the next day. No on has called me and it has been 3 days later. I had to spend money on finding another accommodation with my 8 year old child at 1 am. I was attending a cousin's wedding and the incident completely ruined my mental and emotional state to enjoy the event. I incurred expenses to purchase new clothing and isolate everything that was brought with us into the hotel room with the bed bugs and am now dealing with having to take all precautions prior to bringing any of my things into my house including the cleaning of my car to avoid infesting my own home. I am traumatized and have been completely ignored by the hotel and not sure if they will even refund me the cost of the reservation when they should be covering all expenses and hardship as a result of the incident. I would like someone to contact me asap to further discuss this awful incident including how I have been treated.
