As a family we stay frequently at the Novotel West and can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff are second to none and provide a relaxed and welcoming environment. If you are visiting with dogs, I have never been to a hotel that is so accepting and welcoming to dogs. Many hotels claim to be ‘dog friendly’ and it is more dog tolerant. This place is dog friendly and there are many walks available from here.

Thank you so much, absolutely fantastic review. We love it when you come to stay with dogs. 99% of dog owners (you being one) are very respectful of guests that don't particularly like dogs. As you know, one side of our bedroom blocks at the hotel is dog friendly and the other not. And we have the little dog treats and water station at the front desk. It was okay. The location was far out of Manchester. The bad part was the bathroom smell was of damp and mould. Room was a decent size and price was good.

Ohhh dear, only 50% score, that's a shame. Whilst not wanting to sound dismissive, we have never had that comment about mouldy smell before, and we will investigate. Regarding the location, as the hotel name suggest, we are on the West side of the city, so great location for Trafford centre, Lancs. cricket club, Man united, Salford quays etc. Not so good for city centre, you need to take a bus (just next to our drive), or train from Walkden.

Love this place- haven’t been for a while but it’s still the same. Really dog friendly, our dog enjoys himself even more than we do. The staff are all lovely, highly recommended

Everything was really really nice apart from the staff member on the restaurant on the Saturday evening
