I first had booked a 4 star hotel with Mercure in Piccadilly but the room didn't live up to the price and standard. So I switch to this 3 star instead as Ive only had good experiences with Novotel. And to be honest the quality here was higher than Mercure. They should have changed stars lol. Also I was with a child, my little brother's first hotel stay. He also felt more comfortable at Novotel, as it was more child friendly. Although the wifi was unstable, he could just go outside and play football instead in the garden or playground. I also enjoyed the green nature, whilst reading a book. It's a good stay if you need some peace and quiet from the inner city noise and busy life. Rooms are big and clean. Loved the gym also. And they had vegan sausages and soya yogurt, first time I had that options in a hotel. Good service and stay overall.

Booked relatively last minute, 3/4 days in advance, only hotel in the area to accept dogs, but for £160+ for one night, the room was very worn, two single beds pushed together in a double room, is always uncomfortable, for that price the reception area was ok but the rooms, we have stayed in London, last minute, for half the price, with much nicer rooms with the dogs. Parking was awful. Unfortunately the only hotel in the area and that would accept pets.

I can see that you booked the room through a third party agent, that way is always going to be more expensive than coming to us directly. I think that was the only room type available at the point you booked as you stayed with us on one of the busiest festival weekends of the summer, hence the whole area being very busy. I'm sorry that you left us with a negative impression and concur that you will not stay again.

Only 5 mins drive from the RHS garden. Negotiating the roundabouts on return to the hotel was easier after the first attempt! We stayed in an accessible room which was clean, quiet and reasonably well equipped for our needs. Three nights was enough for us to visit the area, we ate in the restaurant each night and the service was good. There is a limited menu but we enjoyed the meals we had. It is only about 20 mins away from the Lowry and fairly easy to get to. We would probably stay here again should we be in the area.
