Mercure was recommended to me by a friend who had stayed there; and he was right. Perfect location, and close to everything you want to see. The Chateau de Caen, Saint Peter’s, and all the shops and restaurants in a short walk. If you will be there on a Sunday, the market is awesome, and right outside the front entrance. If you have a special USA Sporting event (GO BIRDS 🦅), O’Donnels is right across the street!!! Fly Eagles Fly!!! Watched the 2025 NFC Championship game.

We upgraded our room upon arrival and had one facing the front of the hotel. We didn’t have any problems with noise. The room was well equipped and clean but the shower room was very small and the lighting was awful, it was so dark in the bedroom. Breakfast was great with a good selection of hot food, cheeses, hams, fresh bread, fruit and pastries. Brilliant location with an abundance of fabulous restaurants nearby including the old town
