Hotel was good but unfortunately my room preferences were not taken into account when allocating my room. What is the point in allowing a club Accor member to set them up if they aren’t used.

Poppy Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Hard to find the car park without directions. Joined onto same building as Accor group Ibis hotel. Some shared facilities. Room OK, like the inner door to shut out corridor noise. Would have preferred walk in shower as bath was high to climb into and no rails. Cleaning came into room at 9am with short knock and just walked in. Do they really expect people to have left the room that early when we were booked for two nights? Have member ship and expected snacks and soft drinks. There were three drinks in fridge, Apple Juice, Lemon Tea and a water. Not as exected. Pillows - 1 not enough, 2 too much.

Helpful reception staff comfortable rooms, good breakfast with local produce (U.K. hotels can’t manage this without fleecing its customers) underground car parking. Electric vehicle charging although some non electric cars hogged some of these - maybe bigger signs to warn off other vehicles would be helpful. The hotel is opposite a marina so an attractive setting for an inner city hotel. The centre of Caen is a mixture of old and new as it was subject to a lot of allied bombing. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Everyone in town was very friendly. I would definitely go back. I noticed some reviews complain about the colour of the paint in the rooms. Some people would complain about anything. We had a very enjoyable stay, the beds were comfortable, toiletries - Nuxe Rêve de Miel, which we tried to buy in town but the exact hair and body gel wasn’t available, room safe, large tv, lots of hot water. Lovely.
